Melting Pot

What a great release of this great group. This was one of the last releases by these guys. This one is different from their others there are no covers here all songs were written by the group and I love this one because of that. The sound is here that we have grown to love from these guys. They were one of the first of the studio bands to cut records and release them. Most of the stuff was made after those classic Otis or Sam and Dave were done and there was still time to lay down some more music. Here we get to hear the guys behind all those great classic sounds shining on their own. This is a wonderful release that makes a great addition to anyone's collection.

I remember buying the original album when I was in high school. It's nice to have it again on CD. The title track alone is worth the purchase to me.

The song Melting Pot is Booker T's best ever...Nice and long....I wonder if there is an even longer one, since the fantastic but quick fade leaves on a electrifying and exciting sustained note....if only there were no time constraints fir records back then!

I have All of Booker T's CD's but I have 2 copies of Melting Pot because it's the Best of the bunch. They're all good but the tunes on Melting Pot are Classic. I never tire of these compositions.

Si vous devez avoir un CD de ce groupe c'est celui-ci. Tout est réussi, interprétation, enregistrement, qualité du son; la compagnie STAX a son meilleur.

Je retrouve mon plaisir d'écoute de mon vinyle très usé acheté en 1972. Ce disque a influencé ma jeunesse de musicien.

suis un fan du son stax qui doit bien la moitié de son succès à BT and the MG's au delà des artistes qui y chantaientet pourtant .....suis un peu déçu par l'album qui sonne creux, manque d'originalité et de soufflebref une sensation de déjà entendu qui me déçoit un peuon est loin de Green onions ou du Soul Limbo
