Literacy Assessment and Intervention for Classroom Teachers

I needed this book for a class. The best part was the extras: at the end of each chapter, there is a list of possible strategies to use and what grade level they'd be appropriate for. There are also copies of many/all of those activities at the back of the book, which could be cut out, laminated, etc. Very nice addition that I wasn't expecting!

This is a great book. It is stuffed to the brim with resources, assessments, interventions, and strategies. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is so HEAVY. It definitely weighs more than is listed. I couldn't hold it while reading it, and had to sit at a table for long stretches while doing grad work.

It's clear. I used it for a college class, but I actually kept this one after the rental period because I could see myself easily referencing it during my teaching career.

I had to order this book for a grad school class that I took. I was reluctant to purchase the book for fear of not using it. That fear was quickly taken away when I realized how useful this book was. It comes with many strategies and useful games and intervention strategies with it in the back. The only down fall was that in the middle some of the pages fell out.

I never thought I'd post a positive review about a textbook. The reading is dry and boring, but that's totally normal.What I LOVE is all the incredible resources the book has, along with research to back them up. It's invaluable to me as a reading interventionist!

This book is fantastic! I would give the quality of the book five stars! It is a great resource as a teacher!However, the pages are coming out of the binding (not the ripable pages). I want this book to last for as much as I paid for it and it is already falling apart.
