Crosby Screw Pin Anchor Shackle Carbon Steel, Galvanized, 2 Ton WLL, 1/2" Size, G-209

If you want a professional shackle and not one that is painted neon green, get the Crosby. I got this for use with my tractor. I’ve used the Crosby in the past and am much more impressed with quality and performance than I am with looks. The red pin on the one I got was no where near as good looking as the red pin in the promotional shots. Kind of like what you see in a fast food ad, but like I said this is a work tool and not for a boulevard show jeep.

Well made shackle. It’s made in the US for those who care. Price is in line with similar items found in hardware stores. The screw pin is painted red which distinguishes this from others. It does nothing for the functionality it likely will just wear off over time though.

Best rigging equipment out there. Reliable!

I use Crosby shackles when dragging vehicles that are stuck, on trees that I'm cutting down, just anywhere I need to connect rigging straps to anything. Crosby is the brand we use in the nuclear industry for heavy lifting. Why use something not made in America?

I worked offshore drilling, and Crosby shackles were the go to on our rigs. Not a fresh coat finish, as pictured. Used? Older shackles sitting around? Not a dealbreaker, but if I pay new. I’d want it to appear new. Other than that, no issue. Will rock these shackles without a doubt

The Crosby shackles are probably one of the best products. Their website states that their actual strength is twice the working limit. I ordered two at the risk of few other reviews that said they were beat up looking and figured I'd give it a shot. Problem is that what you see pictured (nice, shiny, new) is NOT what you get. It looks like these have been hanging on a bumper and used for a solid 4-5 years already. One looks like it's shiny, trust me when I tell you it's not and it's only b/c it's next to one that is even worse. Worst part is, some more of the red paint from the pin sticks to my hands.... I also ordered a pair of comparable Rugged Ridge shackles, and THOSE are new and look exactly like the ones in the Crosby picture. Both are being returned as I didn't pay full price to get a used product. I'd be happy if someone were to message me back about this and offer to correct the issue with actual new pins as pictured OR ack the issue and update the picture and product description if used/beat up is all that they are actually selling. I'm furious these are being sold at full price and described as new, these wouldn't even pass for like new or gently used.
