Who knew???? Seahorses are in now?My 5 year old granddaughter is loving this book. It's colorful, and inspirational. Really!It shows how the Husband and Wife love and protect each other. It shows how they take care of their babies.Not in a shocking way. Not in a health class way. In a way that a child can learn from.Just like they would care for a pet, or a doll.I am going to order another one to keep at my home for children visitors in this age range.

This is a lovely book, beautiful artwork, and very science-oriented to tell how seahorses live. HOWEVER, parents should know it is very specific about how the male and female seahorse reproduces. This could spark questions about other animal or human reproduction that a parent may not wish to discuss with a very young child yet. So - just be aware. If you are comfortable with that information and kind of discussion at the age your child current is, then it's a wonderful book. Because the art is so extraordinary, I kept the book but I put it away for when our child is much older. By the time those discussions are appropriate in our family, our child may be older than the simple level of text would be for, but the info and the art is so great even an older child will love it. I wish they had a version that just wasn't so "graphic" (haha) for little kids.

Such a lovely and educational book.

There is nothing to dislike about this series. My three year old likes it. Makes a good gift. Written for kids, but has interesting content for adults, and the illustrations are lovely. Only problem is, how I want to get an aquarium with seahorses.

My young daughter loves seahorses, we’ve had this book for two years and it’s still a big hit. She’s very science-minded so I like that it’s educational and calming. I love these books and am looking at more. Great facts about seahorses and relaxing illustrations, great for bedtime.

Make sure you read the book before you buy. May not be suitable for all students!

My daughter loves this book. It has beautiful illustrations and lots of good information. We checked this out at our local library several times and finally decided to buy it for her library. It has sparked an interest and love of the Ocean as well as the Sea horse. I would buy this again.

What a beautiful book !!! Used this with my Year 2 class and they were enthralled ... they responded well to the 'mix' of real information presented in the picture-book style.I'm sure we will be coming back to this book again and again.
