Nothing Special
These lollies aren't bad, but they're also nothing special. Each one is not individually wrapped like most lollies (although some people may actually prefer this, as wrappers on lollies can sometimes be a real faff to get off) and I personally like them wrapped for food-hygiene reasons.Instead of being spherical, they're an odd fat-pancake sort of shape (again, this is not my preference)The flavour is OK, but a bit bland, and the texture seemed a bit "off" to me.Most annoying, however, are the sticks... made of rolled paper, they go soggy and bits of paper come off in your mouth. Eventually, many of the lolly sticks became so wet and soggy-papered, that the lolly end snapped off from the main lolly-stick, leaving you with a lollipop to suck with a wet, papery stump, too small to use as a stick to grab on to, but big enough that inside the mouth you end up with even more paper bits.My wife didn't mind them though; which shows that either taste really is in the gob of the sucker, or that she has low standards .... I suspect the latter, after all, she did marry me! - Lol, just kidding, but not about the lollies, they really aren't anything special.

Utterly flavourless.
I bought these as Joseph Dobson is a reputable company and I have in the past enjoyed their boiled sweets so I thought I would take a punt on these tropical flavoured lollies. First of all I’ll start with the positives. The size of them are excellent, as is the consistency and how long they last. Now to the negative - and most importantly - the flavour. It is completely missing. Utterly flavourless with no fruit flavour of any kind present no matter how long you have it in your mouth.I opened them and noticed that the smell I got was more of a winter mixture flavour. Those of you who enjoy winter mixture - also known as “Cough Candy” - will know it’s definitely an acquired taste (Clove!). I checked the tub again to make sure it said tropical and it does. I thought well I better try one otherwise I’ll never know. Well, there was no fruit flavour of any kind. Something listed as tropical usually has AT LEAST pineapple, but they just taste of sugar. The longer they remain in your mouth the more you do get a very faint winter mixture flavour. Very faintly of clove. But definitely no fruit. Of ANY kind. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. As I said, Joseph Dobson are a well known manufacturer of candies and sweets, especially boiled sweets, in fact only a few weeks ago my mum bought a tub of Rhubarb & Custard boiled sweets and the flavour was superb. So for these to arrive and be the blandest lollies I’ve ever had was both surprising and disappointing.I feel glad that I also bought a bag of fruit ChupaChups. If I could return these Joseph Dobson lollies I would but due to it being a food product and that it’s been opened, it’s highly unlikely.

Broken
Working full time with a family I chose to buy this as a gift on line . I do not have time to replace or return as the gift is for today . The seal on the item is clearly broken and the products inside are more than a little bit destroyed . I will now have to spend more money and apologise for the state of the present . One which I felt would bring joy

Delivery was good and item was in perfect condition sadly the flavour is more like cough syrup

A blast from the past !
I'd forgotten that I'd forgotten about enjoying traffic light lollies in my childhood days back in there 60's and 70's. Somebody I work with brought a jar in, and I was hooked again. If you remember them, and enjoyed them, then this jar provides great value. Very yummy - but what we didn't get told all those years ago is that these are 88% sugar ! (Still delicious though).....

Smashed up and open on arrival.
Bought these as a birthday present for my brother-in-law. They arrived smashed and with a broken seal, they were in the standard amazon massive box, with a bit of packing - but nothing to keep them from actually breaking. And why is the seal broken????? How can I gift someone something that is already open. No idea how they taste, but they arrive in such a state you probably shouldn’t taste them
