Diamond Willow

Good book sad too! Love it

We read Diamond Willow with our 12 year old grandson as a book club over Zoom. There was bravery, courage, friendship, love and adventure wrapped up in one book.

My 4th-grade son loved the storyline, the interesting way the words were written, and the secret messages within the passages. Excellent book! He said he was disappointed when it ended because he wanted to read more about Willow!

This is a very well-written diamante poem format book!! Culturally relevant and an amazing read to add to home or classroom.

I am going to use this book for my Special Education English Class. It has an accessible reading level and a high interest level. It is a good subject for Rural Students.

This is a book that uses print format and free poetic form to tell a story grounded in cultural beliefs and traditions of Native Americans. The storyline will engage readers as they follow the trip of a 12 year old Native girl taking her huskies to her grandparents.

I love this book! This is a heartwarming story about the love a girl has for her dog. I will read this book many times.

My 8 year old son and I read this together. It was a wonderful story told in a magical way with the shapes and hidden messages. It's a brilliant way to show kids how FUN writing and reading can be.

This book is amazing. I love the diamond shape on each page, and the bold words that have meaning themselves. The whole book is brilliantly written. What a talented author!

Read to both my Granddaughters, age 9, they loved it.
