Very accurate
I have a connective tissue disorder and I have been having a lot of fainting spellsand fluttering in my chest lately. My doctor recommended that I keep track of my blood pressure. I bought this one because of the irregular heartbeat feature. It's incredibly accurate because whenever I take my blood pressure while having fluttering in my chest it shows the irregular heartbeat icon. It's been coming in really handy for keeping records for my doctor. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Easy to use
My husband has a family history of high blood pressure so I bought this to help monitor him and it is so easy to use. It also fits my tiny arm and his large arm easily.

Great replacement machine
I bought this for my parents whose machine finally pooped out, my dad has high blood pressure and needs to check it daily. So far this machine works great, I appreciate the fact that it came with batteries as well. Plus it didn't break the bank like some machines can be.

About average but as good as you're likely to find on the consumer market
This was bought to replace one purchased at a chain drug store after calibrating that one against a machine in the hospital. Then, I calibrated this one. (See attachment.) Results varied widely, but I only had 16 data points; not enough for a serious statistical analysis. Average difference in systolic was 1.4 mmHg with a standard deviation of 9.4; diastolic, 5.1 with standard deviation of 5.2. Again, only 16 data points so this is not statistically significant. [I'm close to "moderate hypertension and every point counts.] The machine is easy to use, despite the instructions being written by someone for whom English is a second, perhaps third language. (This is not a slur; I'm lucky to get along with one language.) Based on years of use of "drug store" meters, and having BP taken by everything from an ancient mercury column to "wrist bands," I would assess this as a "pretty good" store-bought meter for someone whose BP is also being monitored frequently by a health care professional.

Not Accurate for me
I was alarmed when I purchased this blood pressure cuff and found that my blood pressure was extremely high. I made a doctor appointment and continue checking for a week and a half. When I went to my appointment I brought the blood pressure cuff with me and learned that the cuff was not accurate and was reading approximately 20 points higher than the actual blood pressure. I don’t know if I had the right size arm cuff or if the instrument is just that far off.

Inaccurate- Returned The Next Day
I took 3 different readings to text the monitor's accuracy. I did everything "by the book". The first reading was 173/97. The second was 129/89. The third was 143/83.Needless to say, I returned it the following morning. Don't trust the reviews you read here. Spend the money and get a good monitor. This thing is garbage.

Unit did not work
The unit would not hold pressure to enable taking a reading. Kept getting error messages. Had someone else try it with the same results. Very disappointed. I went out and bought an Omron Series 3 at a retail store and it worked perfectly.Recommend taking what ever unit you buy to a doctors office to compare results with their test to validate proper calibration.
