Great for language learning
I used this book when learning foreign languages. It’s a great way to learn new vocabulary as well as sentence structure.

A children’s storybook without words
As a pediatric speech-language therapist, this is one of my favorite books. To be clear, this book is a picture book WITHOUT words. It tells a story but the parent/teacher gets to tell the story using the pictures as a guide. This allows the narrator to make the story as simple or rich in vocabulary as needed. Then, the child/student can retell the story back using their own narration. Retelling a story well is a fantastic pre-reading skill.

Great book; torn pages
Great book to have overall as I’ve used it in therapy.Issue with MY book:The some of the pages came stuck together and two have little tears as seen on the corner in the photo.I bought this new off Amazon, so it shouldn’t have tears or be stuck. Not sure what happened, but the binding and everything look new. Just torn pages on a new book is irksome.

Perfect for OCC boxes!
These sweet books are the perfect size for OCC boxes. The pictures tell a humorous story and it won't matter which country they get delivered to.

Great book for eliciting language samples for all ages
I am a speech-language pathologist and I recently began using the Systematic Analysis of Language Transcription (SALT) software to analyze language samples with Spanish-English speaking children to conduct a deep analysis of their narrative structure. This is one of the books that is on the SALT database to use as an elicitation tool. As usual, I love the size of this book collection and I use this weekly when conducting bilingual Speech and Language Assessments. Of course I also love other Mercer Mayer books that I read with my own children.

Great wordless picture book
This is a great wordless picture book and I'm happy to have all in the series! It's a great addition to my speech and language therapy resources at school.

I wish there were more books in this series. ...
I wish there were more books in this series. The illustrations are priceless and the content is so relevant to young children. Only thing is, these books are becoming harder and harder to find! Often not even available in public libraries. Stock up!

Perfect for research purposes
I bought this story for research purposes, as I am dealing with children and wanted something to make them give phrases and full sentences. This story is made up of pictures with no sentences, which makes the children speak instead of relying on adults to tell them the story. This story worked pretty well for this purpose. Almost all of the children enjoyed the story and it caught their attention! I would highly recommend it for researchers working with children or even for parents to help them make their children learn how to utter full sentences.

Four Stars
A wonderful little story, although I admit I use it for linguistic research, not for reading to a child.

Cute book! A little smaller than expected.
This is a really cute book. I was surprised by the size, however. Compared to a normal sized notebook, it's pretty small. It's probably the perfect size for a small child to hold though. The pictures are not very colorful, but they are still well drawn. Wordless books are great for practicing vocabulary and for imagination. I'm excited to share this book.

Six Great Gifts for Foreign Speaking Sponsored Children
Make sure you get all 6 books in this wordless book series "A Boy, a Dog and a Frog" (1967), "Frog, Where Are You?" (1969),"A Boy, a Dog, a Frog, and a Friend" (1971), "Frog on His Own" (1973), "Frog Goes to Dinner" (1974), and "One Frog Too Many" (1975). These are enjoyable books for adults and children alike. For added fun, I enlarged some of the pages to make accompanying coloring pages for my grandson. Are you sponsoring a child overseas who does not speak English? These are the perfect gift. These are wordless, and being small and flat, they are just the specifications required by many sponsorship organizations.
