Like the book a lot… good for younger kids. Illustrations are fun and unique as expected by this author/illustrator.

These are wonderful books without words for children who can talk but cannot yet read. They're they're very funny. Let your child tell you a story for a change! Great for getting kids to practice interpreting details and using verbal skills.

This review is in response to a previous reviewer's comments that she did not realize that the book was wordless. She gave the impression that she was disappointed by receiving a wordless book, which her nephew cannot "read."I agree that it should be more clear that this book is wordless, but I would encourage you not to discount it on this basis. The book is very funny, and wordless books help children develop linguistic and narrative skills. Have the child "read" the book to you, or his parents. You can also tell the story to him at exactly his linguistic level (or slightly above it), not with the one-size-fits-all vocabulary and syntax of other children's books. It would be great if you could notice where he struggles in his descriptions when reading the book, and then expand upon his attempts the next time you read it to him. If you give it a chance, you might like a wordless book.. and so might your nephew.

This series, evocative pictures with no words, are the best thing ever for kids who can read, or not. They love these books for MANY years and it is fun to "tell" them the story, or have them "tell" it to you or themselves. It was the first book my grandspn, at age 1 1/2, LOVED, and picked every time, to "read". When I bought him the whole series, he loved them. (My sons also loved them, and saved them!) Mercer Meyer, of course, is a genius. All kids love the Frog series!

This is a great book for the little ones. I teach a class of kindergartners and they love this book.

Great book! I used it for a class in school. It is wordless but offers such great illustrations! I used it for a 10 year old to write his own story on sticky notes. He loved that project. Great for preschoolers too!

Bought 24 copies to share with my daughters kindergarten class. Students love having their own book to read along with the rest of the class. We take turns telling the story we see on each page and then they draw a story picture of their own.

my kids loved these, now I'm buying them for my granddaughter - the illustrations, which are wonderful inspire children to tell the story, in their own words, as elaborate or simple as they want. As a librarian, a teacher, and now a grandmother, I'm delighted these are still in print to share with the next generation!

Love this series. It’s great for my kids as they cannot read yet so it’s like they get to read the story to us as there are no words so they get to interpret what’s happening on each page. Sometimes what they interpret differs from my own which makes it more interesting. Highly recommend
