Too hard to scratch off!
Would not recommend. The black part is fairly hard to scratch off and the silver part with the state names is super hard to scratch off. There's no way to scratch off a state without leaving a ton of dents all over it. I'm pretty disappointed because I really liked the design of the map and I bought it to be a gift.

sorta dissapointed
I bought this for my sons room and I loved the colors underneath it online. HOWEVER once I started scratching the states off it took forever and it was super hard to do. The black is easy to scratch off but the grey letters are super difficult. I finally figured out that if you just hold the pick a certain way and scrape hard/long strokes then it will come off easier. I was actually kind of shocked that there wasn't scratches left.

Colorful but hard to scratch
Hard to scratch off, but looks cool on the wall. I had to make my own frame for it.

Not easy to scratch off and look good
They provide you with a guitar pick tool to scratch off the black coating over the states you've been too, but the silver text and borders between states scratch off almost as easily. Maybe I'm just not finessed enough to use this product... but mine does not look good after scratching a few states off.

Great gift
Really liked this gift. It was reverse on what I thought it would be. Note it comes with the black and white words and when you scratch it off the map is beneath.

Working out while scratching it off.
The quality is great but it took so much energy and effort to scratch off the states. I'm still on California and have only made it up to San Francisco.

I was very inclined to write this review because of the excellent customer service this company has provided. I received a map and wasn't too satisfied with it because it was really hard to scratch off the states, and also there was a printing blur of color on the right side of the map. they allowed me to return it and receive a replacement. I AM VERY SATTISFIED. great print, easy to scratch off, and colors are beautiful. the map is awesome and my boyfriend and I are excited to start traveling to scratch more states off!
