Restaurant Quality Food Containers - Lid Purchased Separately, but still Recommended
These food containers are excellent, and I would recommend them to anyone. These are the same ones used in commercial kitchens, thick, somewhat stain and order resistant, and NSF certified. As with any plastic food containers, they are very sturdy, but are susceptible to heat (not oven or stove top safe), and while resistant to odor and staining, that doesn't mean it can't absorb odors or stain after a period of time. The biggest downside is that you have to buy lids separately (but at least they snap on tight) and they aren't cheap. If you need to store food dry or wet, a marinade, or just ice, this container will serve you well.

There are PERFECT for brewing kombucha!!
I have tried over the years to find 2 gallon glass jars for brewing kombucha but I have never found anything that stood up or did well. While I have spent over a decade getting rid of plastic, I found these buckets are BPA free and are exactly what I need {minus being plastic}. I love that they have a nice lip on the top that fits my four sack towel and a rubber band. I love that they have handles. I love that they have enough space for my brew and my scoby. I love that there are measurement lines on the buckets. I also love that I can proof my sourdough in thee buckets. I did buy the exact same kind with a lid so that I can do a second ferment with a lid on. Anyways, this was a solid choice, and when the price dropped, I even bought 2 more so I have a total of 5 and I love them!

Almost a perfect bread bucket
This is a very large, round, plastic bucket without a lid. (If it had a lid I would give it 5 stars.) I'm using it as a dough bucket for making bread. It lets me see when my dough has actually doubled in size. If you only occasionally make one loaf of bread at a time, this would be totally unnecessary. I make 3 loaves of sourdough bread twice a week, every week, and I love experimenting with strange recipes. Often I leave my dough to rise in the refrigerator overnight. I cover this bucket with plastic wrap, and can usually shape the dough the next day. At first I worried this bucket was too big -- until it overflowed one night.... Usually it's just about the perfect size for 2 or 3 loaves; I can easily see when my dough has doubled in size. But one recipe, that I thought had failed to rise at all, I stuck in the refrigerator around 7 PM, and around 6 AM the next morning, my husband woke me saying, "Love, I think you need to go take care of the bread." The bread had managed to find a weak spot on the edge of the plastic wrap, and big glops had fallen out of the bucket and it was still rising! Therefor I give it 4 stars because it lacks a lid that tightly seals the top! Otherwise it's just about perfect, easy to oil, easy to clean, and clearly marked.

A necessary item for home bread making
I have been making homemade bread since the beginning of lockdown last year. It wasn't until I was reading in a recipe that a Cambro container should be used for proofing that it dawned on me how to improve my proofing times and not end up with flat loaves. I use the 6 qt for full size sourdough and brioche loaves. Once the first proof is down, I move my dough to my 14 inch Wilton loaf pan and proof again. My loaves are finally perfect! The measurements on the container make it very easy to gauge how much the dough has risen, which helps prevent overproofing. I can't say enough about this container. The lid is sold separately but it's necessary - don't try to save $ by using plastic wrap. Clean up is quick and easy. If you bake bread, you need to get this container.

Best puke bucket
This makes the best puke bucket for the household. The side handles give you nice grip and it’s big enough to put an adult face into for throwing up.

Perfect for raising larger batches of dough
I've had a similar 4-qt Cambro container that I bought about a year ago when I first went back to making my own bread, and I love it, but lately I've been doubling recipe to cut down on how often I need to bake bread for my family, so I bought this one. It's hard to review something whose sole purpose is to sit and hold dough while it rises, but it does that job very well. Please note, this one does not include a lid, and that was fine for my use. I had no use for a lid, so it was worth it for me to save the money on buying a container with a lid.
