Great Knife. Razor Sharp. Well-Balanced. Makes Dicing and Slicing So Much Easier.
I love to cook and although I had OK knives for chopping and dicing, I knew it was time for a better knife. I wanted to find a knife that was reasonably priced and had good reviews. This knife checks all of my boxes. It is well balanced, razor sharp and has an excellent knife protective sheath. It is well packaged in a box that nestles it and in fact should be kept for storage. I have used it to dice vegetables, cantaloupe, and trim and cut chicken breasts. I wash it immediately after use in warm sudsy water after each use, dry it and store it for my next culinary adventure. I am very pleased with this knife and recommend it highly.

Buy these now and dump those old knives
I have now purchased every knife they make in this series. So to say I am a fan is an understatement. I can't say enough good things about my knives, stay sharp (bought the Steele also) look great, prep knives are wonderful, steak knives make a great presentation on the table and cut thru steak like butter. My favorite is the extra long meat cutter works so well on smoked brisket. Good Price (my opinion) no problems of any kind, my first ones are 2years old. And no I don't work for Cutlex :) :)

Great Knife
These knives are amazing, extremely sharp, well balanced and easy to put an edge on. One review stated they didn't stay sharp after a lot of use. Obviously they don't own a honing rod or whetstones. About ever other time I use it I hit it on the honing rod a few times and will most likely use the whetstone at least twice a year. Slice thru tomatoes with ease and trimming up a roast was no problem. My wife bought me 4 of this brand knife and a new honing rod by them for Christmas and when it's time to add some different blades to my collection they will definitely be Cutluxe Artisan Series.

Cutluxe knives are great! I was so happy with my carving knife that I purchased this knife. I like them as much as my Cutco knives which are much more expensive.

Nice to hold, very sharp, sturdy feel
Feels good to hold, sturdy and good weight. Very sharp right out of the box. Great size for a variety of foods. Did have a small ding in the center of the blade upon arrival, but does not seem to have much impact on performance. Concerned it might be an issue long term but not sure. Surprised it happened considering the precise and padded packaging the knife came in. Veggies stick to the knife more than I thought they would, but the dimples do help. Nice sheath for safe storage. Feels like it will be durable and long lasting, with proper care. Comes with nice sharpening instructions.

If you buy this knife, this is my prediction.
This is not my first Cutluxe knife. I bought another rather quickly. As soon as you put this knife in your hand you know without a doubt at some point in the future it will abide in one of your children's kitchen, then your grandchildrens kitchen..... You get the point. This is a solid, well built knife that is razor sharp right out of the package. Yes it is heavy. Is it too heavy? I read reviews that thought so..... I say boloney. If you cook a lot then you chop a lot.... Lots of meat, vegetables, herbs, etc. A hefty well balanced knife with a keen edge is a critical kitchen tool. This fits the bill. We aren't proud folks. We can't afford to drop 700 or 800 bucks on a set of japanese kitchen knives. So, we constantly strive to get the absolute best quality we can for the money we do have. I'm confident that this will be the last santoku knife we will need to buy and the price is very reasonable. Ok. Don't laugh. But the box this came in is so dang nice I just couldn't throw it in the trash. I know. Ridiculous. The box is heavy with velvet foam base and the box closes with magnetic clasps. If you want to give this as a gift, just slap a bow on the box and hand it to them. It's pretty amazing. It's obvious that the company that built this is proud of their product and they choose to display it in this way and package it this way.

Sharp muthuh!
This knife is dangerously sharp, one thing to note and I might modify is that the base of the blade nearest to the handle is a spot that I have knicked myself, I will take a carbide burr and cut a notch to avoid future blood shed. other than that it will slice a soggy tomato into micro thin segments. Great blade for the money and made in PRC

My favorite knife
I use this knife for everything. It stays sharp much longer than my old knives which I don’t use anymore. There’s a huge difference in quality. Highly recommended.
