ChefLand Plastic Pie Plate Container Tart Fresh Keeper Holder

I gave this plastic pie keeper 4 stars rather than 5 only because I just got it & don't yet know how it will last.That said, I've wanted a couple of these for years, especially because they're the only pie storage containers I've seen that are sized large enough to hold my pies, as I use 10" glass pie plates exclusively. I always make two pies, and these containers are great because you can store them in the fridge and still put stuff on top, or stack them. I'm pleased they're hinged--but plastic hinges tend not to last, so we'll see how they hold up! (Hence, the 4 stars) They are sold elsewhere online, but Amazon shipping is less expensive.Looking forward to stone fruit pie season coming soon!!

Right after Christmas I ordered 2 of these plastic pie plate keepers, and expect them to serve long and well. They are simple, efficient items; the attached lids nicely snap closed; they're easily cleaned...etc. ---BUT...I had been forewarned by reviews from other customers that there is a center "bump" on the inside of the carrier's bottom (a molding detail) WHICH THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD REMOVE BEFORE PACKAGING because it causes a significant wobble/slide for the pies being carried, so I was prepared to ask my husband to cut/file the silly nuisances down. Very good carriers...but only AFTER removing those center bumps.

If you're like me, you are always looking for extra space in the fridge. I hesitated to make pies, because of the issue of pie storage. This solves the problem. It's strong enough to stack other items on top of it, and the proper size to fit a variety of pie sizes. ( I usually bake 9 in) I only gave it 4 stars, because the hinge looks like it might not be strong enough to hold up over a long time. Of course, the reality is, even if the hinge did fail, the cover snaps on tight enough to work anyway.

I haven't used this yet, but I did put my pie plate in to see if it fit and there was plenty of room for a larger pie plate and a pie with height (think banana cream). I don't know about freshness yet, but it seemed to be secure and what I really thought would be good is that plastic wrap wouldn't lay on the pie anymore. I actually bought these for my sister who brings four or five pies to Thanksgiving. Thought this would be good for stacking and transporting - and they will be!

I have a standard store-bought 10-inch glass pie dish. It has a wide rippled flange. It fits in this keeper like it was made for it. What a pleasure to not have to reach for plastic wrap or foil to cover whatever I've made in my pie dish. (I use it a lot.) I can even stack other food items on top of it in the fridge--very sturdy. Snaps shut nice and tight. Just love it.

I have had it over a year, and I love this pie keeper.The top is attached, so you will never lose or misplace it. It's substantially made - very hard, strong plastic. It stays closed well. It's large enough to fit any of my pies. I have even used it for tiny cupcakes and Christmas decorated cookies.

I needed a container that could carry either a pie safely in the car. This worked. I used it to transport a cheese cake this past weekend, it worked great.

Happy with everything about these pie keepers. They accommodate up to a 10" pie plate and have enough head room for even the highest pies. I use mine to store apple pies (made with our own apples) in the freezer, The keepers protect the pies from the jostling in the freezers.
