Hydar Strength & Fitness–POWER GRIPS–Premium Lifting Straps W/ Dual Functionality

When these arrived, I was a bit disappointed that there were no instructions - fair enough, how hard can it be to use them, but still, it'd be helpful to know which way up they're supposed to go. At which point my email pops up, and Hydar have sent me a full user guide. Top marks for timing.The straps themselves are remarkable - the grip just goes on forever. Today was deadlift day, and I felt like I could just keep going until my spine snapped. My grip is no longer a limiting factor, it's a simple as that.They're not perfect - the padding is slightly shorter than the metal loop so it pokes through, and the straps tend to slide over the wrist towards my hand when they take some load unless I fasten them REALLY tightly. It's not easy to use them for pull-ups if you have to jump to reach the bar. And as with all straps, they get in the way of your hands when you're not actually lifting. But all this is a small price to pay for what feels like unlimited grip. Now I can actually train my posterior chain, rather than worry about my grip.

I go to the Gym 3x week and working through set programmes for Chest/Biceps, Triceps/Back and Legs/Deadlifts. I am now at the stage where the weight is starting to effect my grip/wrist strength.Having previously used 'normal' weight lifting gloves I was looking for something that had added wrist protection, but that could also increase my grip on the bar/dumbells. I found these and read the positive reviews on the product, duly impressed, I ordered them on Friday evening (7 April) and they were delivered to a local Amazon locker (in itself an amazing invention - especially if you are out all day and/or have a dog!) Sunday 9th.An email arrived today with instructions on how to use and care for the - as promised.I have used them today for the first time for a Chest/Bicep session and was hugely impressed. The rubber allows you to grip much more than standard gloves, giving you confidence (together with the fairly hardcore wrist straps) that your grip/wrist will not fail and allowing you to concentrate on your form and reps - essential when you are increasing weight on your barbell without a spotter!Had to adjust my grip occasionally because the rubber was 'rubbing' on my palms, but think this is for 2 reasons - 1) I have 'professionals' hands as I always wear gloves for lifting/carrying anything heavy (garden/etc.) and 2) the rubber needs time to mould and soften slightly, which I have no doubt it will do (either that or my wussy hands will simply get used to it!).Certainly recommend - be interesting to see what 'lifetime' guarantee means, but very impressed so far.

I bought a pair of these last October. I absolutely loved them but, just 10 months in and a small tear on the rubber on the right hand grip had grown to become a bit of a nuisance. On the one hand I was a little irked because the grip hadn't lasted a year, on the other hand I have found them to be the best grips I've ever used - by far - so I wanted the same again. In the end, I decided I would buy another pair. HOWEVER when I went onto Amazon I saw mention of a lifetime guarantee. With nothing to lose, I followed the link the the Hydar website and left a message. Within an hour I had a response, apologising for the inconvenience of a faulty grip and offering to send a new pair. A short while later, not only did a new pair arrive in the post, but also a large Hydar water bottle (no quibbles, no asking me to pay for postage, just a straight up, 'sorry, let's make this right').Not only am I reunited with my favourite pair of grips, but I'm really impressed with such speedy, no fuss and classy customer service. Highly recommended.

Right have used these for a few months now. Tried and tested, well I get another pair when these are worn through "definitely."You don't have to get straps and gloves or anything like that as these have everything covered. From doing chin ups weighing at 125kg or benching 180kg.Highly recommended.Right been using them now for a while. I have ditched my wrist supports and straps as these do the work of both. I am a lot more confident lift heavy weights because of something so simple like these. Only advice I would give is for someone with large hands like myself make them 1 cm wider otherwise as I have said they're perfect.

These grips are honestly amazing. I have been lifting for 15 years and since getting them my deadlift pb has been broken and I can now do standard hand position as was having to cross grip just to hold the bar .Pull ups are significantly improved as you don't have to wrap them round just jump up, the added grip from the thick heavy-duty rubber is amazing.The build quality of these grips are fantastic as when new they are very solid you do need to wear them in but if you lift you know this is a bonus as you know they will last .Best grips out there for the price highly recommended. Ordered these along with the wrist straps from Hydar 3 or 4 months ago and they’re a great set of lifting straps. The design is much easier to get a solid grip than the “standard” cloth lifting straps and they’re very comfortable when using them for heavy deadlifts/rows. Slightly more expensive than the usual straps as you’d expect but well worth the extra ~£5-10. Definitely a solid purchase.Also worth noting that I had an issue with the Velcro on the wrist straps that I ordered alongside these and I’ve got to say the customer support has been excellent. Emailed them regarding the issue and they actually initially sent me the lifting straps rather than the wrist wraps (which they’ve let me keep!) and I am now waiting for the replacement wrist straps in the post. No hassle, very quick response and friendly customer service reps 👍🏼
