Went with sizing cart and they fit in length however, were very tight in width. I don't have wide feet, I would suggest trying a wide. I wasn't impressed that I had to pay for return shipping and didn't repurchase as they are very expensive and having to pay for return shipping. I didn't want to chance them not fitting again and losing more money.

Love!
Love these, I'm a female, wear womens size 7.5 in normal shoes....wear 7's in all Danner boots.I find these to be a bit pricey but they always have been and always will be. You won't be disappointed in the Acadias.

which was rather painful but worth it now as they really molded to ...
So I got these boots for kinda it's intended purpose as a police boot. I have wide feet and ordered true to size in wide with, and they were still tight on the sides. I assume Danner just uses narrow lasts. The tightness has gone away now after 3-4 months of true break in time, which was rather painful but worth it now as they really molded to my feet. I will warn that the airthotic insoles they give you are horrible, at least for me. Mine cracked within a week of use, right down the middle. I thought it was a fluke and contacted Danner, which gave me a new pair, same thing happened. I got the fatigue fighter insole instead(maybe that's Danner's way of shaking more money out of you?) which imo should be included as standard as I'm certainly not going to wear this boot without any sort of insole, even though you could. Another warning is that these things are pretty heavy, at just under 3lbs per boot, but I got used to the weight and after it molded to my foot, I can sprint and run pretty effectively in them, climbing I can't say. They are also kinda toasty in the summer and maybe clammy in the winter, depends on how much your feet sweat. Personally I kinda dislike the gore-tex but I appreciate once rain comes around. They eyelets also disappointingly have a weak coating and that silver will easily rub off revealing the copper tone underneath, makes it look unprofessional, but maybe you like that. Now the good parts. I've had them for about 2 years 1 month of daily use walking on concrete, tiles, snow, rain, and some mud now and again now and banged them up pretty nice. I had to resole recently at a local cobbler just because I wasn't comfortable with the outsole having mostly slicked out and also kinda lopsided, if I hadn't I'd probably still have probably gotten 5 more months or so out of them. I treated mine with obenauf's about every 2-3 months and put kiwi black polish on them( I hear this is bad, but it's already done) whenever I need them to shine-ish again. I'll let you decide how the leather held up in the pictures. The cordura has held up and I am pretty convinced it will last as long as the leather and unless I meet something very sharp, both it and me should be fine. I really hope these live up to the reputation of holding up for years and years if you do proper maintenance. It's a lot of money to drop if it fails within less than 5 years, but so far it seems to be holding up pretty good.

Disappointed in the patrol boot.
So after owning Danner boots for almost 30 years I am for the first time very disappointed. The quality is as you would expect from Danner, being very good quality. So I decided to try the patrol boot for a shorter boot. BUT...the fit is terrible...as those of us who have a wider foot know, you must adjust your size with Danner boots as they run narrow..and long... with that said, I have learned to order a particular size and it will fit. I will say that Danner boots break in great, and fast and will feel great. These are still terrible. The back of the boot digs into the Achilles tendon, it runs WAY to narrow, it feel to tight across the top of the arch, and it is to short in the toe area to accommodate a thicker sock. So after a call to Danner and not a lot of help...I decided to post a review. Hope this help others not make the same mistake on the patrol boot. My recommendation is stick to the Acadia or the Recon.
