Kawaii Crochet: 40 super cute crochet patterns for adorable amigurumi Review: Super cute and easy to read patterns - I love this book. It is easy to read and has super cute patterns. The back of the book explains all of the abbreviations and stitches. The yarn they used for the patterns was easy to source and to find the correct colors. Pros: - Easy to read patterns with awesome photos - Easy to source the yarn and correct colors - Super cute designs Cons: - None! Review: Worth a Purchase! - All in all, very pleased with my purchase! Patterns are very clearly written. Objects are adorable and easy to create. An excellent book of patterns for crocheters interested in amigurumi. Worth the purchase (instead of finding patterns free) to ensure toys are the same general style and go well together. Included a bonus of stitch descriptions along with some general crochet design tips. While none of these things are deal breakers, here are some things to look out for. Patterns don’t specify whether they’re top-down or bottom-up, which can be slightly confusing. Multiple weights of yarn are occasionally used in the same pattern, making it hard to buy all the colors/weights recommended. Related to that, some items are an awkward scale. I found the banana to be too small and the apple/pear/pepper to be too large.

Looking forward to all the fun makes
I am fairly new to crochet. I really like making and gifting small items. This looks right up my alley.

Great Book for All Levels!!
This paperback crochet book is such a great crochet book!! The book is organized by primary color and each color has five crochet patterns. Examples of the crochet items are shown on the cover of the book. The stuffed items are really fun to make. This particular book has the crochet pattern for the pencils. The primary color, yellow, can be changed and the tip color, black can be changed to create colored pencils. The patterns vary in difficulty level, but he assured each color has patterns for beginners and advanced crocheters alike. I also have the Christmas edition of Kawaii Crochet. Kawaii is my favorite crochet books.

Super cute collection of colorful amigurumi!
This book is adorable! It's a great resource if you love to crochet amigurumi - lots of these patterns would make cute little gifts (for yourself or others). The book design is well done - all of the patterns are arranged by color, which I found unique. Normally, amigurumi books are arranged by type of pattern, for example, food patterns, animal patterns, etc. Going along with the theme of color, there is a short section at the beginning of the book on basic color theory. There is also a section in the back of the book with basic crochet how-to instructions, but if you're picking up this book you probably already know how to crochet. The book advertises 40 amigurumi patterns, and sure, there are 40 patterns listed here, but some of them are basically the same thing with a few small tweaks. For example, there are multiple patterns of ice cream cones and popsicles, and the only thing that makes them different is using a different yarn color, adding a different little decoration on top, etc. It would have made a little more sense to present, for example, an ice cream cone pattern, with the different "flavor" modifications alongside the pattern. However, since the book is arranged by color, putting a blue blueberry ice cream cone, a pink strawberry ice cream cone, and a cream/brown vanilla ice cream cone together wouldn't have made sense. Keeping the pattern overlap in mind, I still think this is worthwhile book for your crochet library!

My Kids Love This Book and so do I
I already have a couple of amigurumi food books, but I can always use one more. Besides, this has patterns for other things, too, like hot air ballons, rain clouds, and pencils. The book is very thorough and is full of adorable patterns. They are arranged by color, and I am not sure how that helps, but it makes for very pretty pictures at the start of each chapter. There are a few patterns that kind of repeat. The ice cream cones, for example, really differ only in color and the crocheted fruit that decorates the top, but this didn't bother me. Overall, I love the book and the price was great. Highly recommended.

Great crochet book
I bought this book as part of a Christmas gift package for my wife who is learning how to crochet. She has enjoyed learning all the different designs that this book makes easy to learn.
