This was purchased to help my son grip the board. It does the job somewhat. The cons outweigh the pros for this tape though.This tape has three holes. One hole for the logo in the middle of the deck and two circular holes for the round wheel pieces. I understand it can’t be one piece. But, they could make round separate pieces to make the grip feel uniform.Application was not pleasant. As I was peeling the backing off it ripped where there’s the little box hole for the logo. I did my best to smooth it out. But, some air bubbles remain. There’s no true groove inlet for the tape to sink into. It lays over the top of the patterned design. This design is raised plastic lines. The lines do little for gripping.Seems to me like this was an after board production addition. My speculation is someone feel because the board is slick and this was the answer.The most irritating about this item is residue. I have the gripping granular all over my fingers. I’ve washed my hands several times to clean them. My fingers feel like sandpaper.Honestly, for the price of the board coupled with the intended target demographic, the board should be better gripped out of the box.

The board was way to slippery without it. The grip tape helped alot! Would have given 5 stars but it ripped a little when trying to apply.

I blame myself. Was looking for an alternative for my daughter (4) to start with skating. As this was given to her as a present, I thought it might be worthwhile before buying a youth setup, in case she didn't love it as much as me. The grip doesn't stick, it does grip on the bits that did stick and is just pretty poor all round.
