Inexpensive, Fun & Works Great
I gave these out as baby shower prizes to women of various ages. They were a big hit! Each one was amazed at how well the JarPop works. You simply place the JarPop under the lip, lift up, and listen for the POP! I was a bit skeptical, but am glad I decided on these. The variety of available colors makes the JarPop extra fun! You have your choice of: JarPop - Jar Opener - Crystal Blue JarPop - Jar Opener - Crystal Red JarPop - Jar Opener - Crystal Yellow JarPop - Jar Opener - Crystal Orange From now on, I will always have a few of these on hand for gift giving. I think it would go great as part of a housewarming gift, a wedding gift, or a Mother's Day gift. It is definitely a great gift for anyone who has problems with the strength of their hands.

I love this thing!
A few years ago, I fell and broke both wrists. I never recovered my hand strength and trying to get jars open is nearly impossible. I've bought all the gadgets--rubber grippers, giant grabber claw things, etc. But this is the first thing I've purchased that works easily every single time. It works like an old fashioned can-opener. You hook the little lip under your lid, pull up and it breaks the vacuum seal on the jar and then the lid easily twists off. Recommended especially for people with weak grips. It's made of plastic, but seems sturdy enough--I haven't had any trouble with mine and I've had it about six months and use it frequently.

Great little jar opener!
This aids in opening jars with the flat vacuum style lids like pickles, and sauces. It just pops the lid to break the vacuum and lid screws right off. I have very weak hands due to rheumatoid arthritis and this thing works great. Don't think it would really work on lids like on mayonnaise jars, as the way it works it just fits under the lip and gives a little pop when you raise it up. I love it!

We purchased JarPop for all of our friends!
The JarPop is amazing. I would give this invention ten stars if I could. Why O' why did I spend so many years struggling to open jars not knowing that the internal vacuum was the only thing making jars hard to open. Literally when the vacuum is released the jar will open with NO effort at all. We give them out as gifts. While it may not work on every type of jar, generally you can forget about rubber grips or placing jars under warm water etc.

Simple in a nice, old-fashioned kind of way
Simple and straightforward. Nice to have for just popping something open instead of using a multipurpose device that is bulky and over-kill for the quick task. Bright color makes it easy to find in a drawer among all the other kitchen gadgets.

This is so wonderful!
I cannot believe someone didn't think of this before now! This little gizmo is effective, easy to use and store: you simply put the lever under the edge of the lid and pull up until the jar pops; the vacuum seal is broken and the jar is a cinch to open. Only one tiny drawback: it only works on the narrow, commercial lids, not the wider size that is used in home canning (and a few other, commercial products as well.) Still, a fabulous find, a God-send and I love it!

Jar pop works only on pry up lids
I suppose the name of the item should have alerted us that this device works only on "pry up" type lids. Unfortunately we wanted it to help with screw tops. On arrival, we discovered we don't have a single pry top lid in the house! A mention in the description that it doesn't work on screw lids would have reinforced the name.
