As stated, wrong connector for w163 Mercedes ML, so why 5 stars? Because it made me think outside the box and solve the problem with a small piece of vacuum hose! Cut a piece of hose small enough where the fiber optic cable/end cap fits snugly into it and face them together - and voila, the old tele-aid module is bypassed, and the audio loop is back online. You really don't need to buy any of these products...

The cd changer in my 08 CLK died and I removed it. When I did so it broke the optical loop in my car and I lost audio from my speakers. I used this item to complete the optical loop for my car's command system and now I have audio again.

Satellite radio module stopped working - but I didn't know. Got the device to check. Found the defective module by just connecting the loop. Simple and effective. Radio is working again.

I felt compelled to leave this review to inform anyone considering purchasing this set of loops to address BMW SOS/Audio issues to look elsewhere. Basically, I feel like this listing is some kind of gimmick… First of all, the “male” connector loop included in the pair is completely useless, as any connectors going into a component you wish to bypass or troubleshoot are already “male”! You would need a properly configured female connector to work with. Including this useless male loop is just some kind of gimmick to make you think you are getting something extra for your monitoring, in reality it will go straight in the trash can!My second point is that the “female” connector (the one I actually needed) would not fit the male connector in my BMW components. I tried the power amplifier in the Bluetooth module and neither would fit. Complete garbage. I wound up ordering a bypass from another seller, hopefully this time around the one I ordered will fit the connectors so I can get my sound back and correct this SOS darn error!!
