Nintendo DS Lite Crimson & Black with Brain Age 2

I haven't owned a Nintendo product since the original GameBoy came out. I have owned many other systems, and I game on my PC quite often. I bought this because I wanted something I could take with me, play at home without having to sit in a computer chair (nothing like a sofa), and I wanted games that were different than the mainstream. PROS: This system rocks! The dual screens are easy to get used to, and once you pick up a few more games you can see how useful having dual screens is. The screens themselves look great as well. The battery life is fantastic, I've only run mine down once and that was after three days of play and not charging it. Having a touch screen really makes some games a lot more fun. The size of the game cartridge is great (like a thick SD memory card). I think the clamshell design of the unit makes it very portable and durable. CONS: The touch screen can be a little fussy every now and again, but it's no big deal; you can recalibrate it whenever you need to. Graphics aren't as good as the Sony PSP, but I think that's Sony's main selling point. I have a PSP as well, and the load times for it are so much longer than the DS. I'm not going to give the PSP points because it can play movies, or music, etc. etc. I wanted a game system and that's what I bought. I never play my PSP, the DS is what I pick up every time. The DS games are addicting (Brain Age 2 is a good game, but you'll want to pick up a couple more). I'm also glad I picked up this particular DS. I like the black one, and this is exactly the same except for the crimson lid. I contemplated buying one for a month, and if you still really want one but you're just not sure if you should fork over the money...do it. It's a lot of fun.

Item looks about near perfect but the pen keeps falling out and I thought it came with phantom hourglass with it but ig it don’t it only comes with the ds and that’s it literally you only get the console nun the stuff in pics

This is my family's first DS. The color is so cool, and the paw print is of a real good quality. Ithought at first it would rub off with time. But its there to stay. The DS came bundled with the Best Friends version of nintendogs. Maybe for some it will get boring after time. But I must say we've had it now since Christmas, and it only gets better. Especially once you get the feel of the competitions. The agility comp's is the easiest and can get you 1000 bucks per win. We just bought our beach house, but they're still renovating. And I'm real eager to move in. After all, it cost us 50,000 dollars. So, we are having real fun with this game. I really recommend this game, if you're a concerned parent who does not want their children to play with those violent and senseless games.

I ordered the same bundle from another dealer on january 2nd and on the 17th he contacted me to tell me that it didn't include the game and it was just the DS lite itself even though it its listed on the website as being included. That was okay since he told me about the problem ahead of time. Around teh 24th of January i received an email from amazon saying that the order had yet to be confirmed and made available to ship. So i contacted the seller 4 times with no response from teh seller on Feburary 1st i received an email from amazon again telling me that the shipment was cancelled with no reason or response from the dealer. I will never order from that dealer again. I looked again to see if i could find a reasonable deal on this package again since all i had seen since i initially looked was the same set for between $300 - $500. Thats when i found this package from [...] it was set at a $158 price, i was sceptical but decided to take a chance on this. I placed the order on 2-02-11 and on 2-04-11 i emailed him since it had yet to be confirmed by amazon. I received an email the next morning from amazon and the seller letting me know that it had been confirmed and will be shipping soon. The shipment arrival dat stated it would reach me between 2-07-11 adn 2-14-11. I received it on 2-7-11 adn a note from the seller giving me a contact # and email address incase i had any issues with the product! I will buy from these guys again with no hesitations this was a great experience.

For actually use of the DS, it worked but it was a little aged. Meaning since it was obviously in the box since purchase it was a bit “rusty” on start up. I mainly use it now as a collection object. The pain is perfect still with no scratches. The only problem I had was since it was in the box, the stylus was stuck in it’s pocket in the DS, it was very hard to take out.

My five star rating is for the DS itself. The four star rating is for the bundle of the crimson/black DS, Brain Age 2, and case. This DS is very good looking; however, the glossy red top will show fingerprints. The matte black bottom is good because it's less likely to slip in your hands, as another reviewer stated. I don't use a screen protector, but I haven't noticed any scratches yet, and I use the stylus a lot. I can't yet attest to its durability, since I've only had it three months and have yet to drop it. The case isn't really that great. Its main advantages are that it looks sort of like a woman's wallet, and the DS can be played while in the case, though that's a little awkward. The disadvantage is that the DS isn't completely covered by the case as it would be with other cases on the market, so dirt and liquids could get into the sides and damage the DS. The case isn't so nice that it would be mistaken for leather, either. Also, the game pockets on it are very tight, as other reviewers have noted. The Brain Age 2 game is not as entertaining as I thought it might be. The "Dr. K" stuff on it is sometimes intrusive and often annoying. I've used it for only a few weeks and have already almost gotten my "brain age" down to the optimal 20. At $149.99, this was a pretty good deal.

It works it’s just dirty the case was dirty the ds itself and if I didn’t have my micro fix it kit I would have had huge chunks of crap stuck between the top screen has to remove the glass and clean it or it was ganna be bothersome other than that very happy it came with a pen and a gba slot cover I recently bought a. 2ds that came with nothing so it’s definitely nice would just have preferred it be cleaned first

Got this product and found out the stylus didn't work properly, even after calibration. Contacted the seller who wouldn't take it back but offered me a free Zelda game, which when I got, completely required the stylus. I Would not ever purchase from this seller in the future. I paid extra for the Zelda details. No one could fix the stylus feature and it ended up being expensive junk.
