Great support from Vendor
My original item was defective. The vendor responded to my inquiry within 24 hours and shortly thereafter a replacement part was in the mail that I received 9 days later. Not bad considering the number of time zones between myself and the vendor.

Be Careful
After using this product for about a week with a 12v battery back my Canon camera died. After a few days of YouTube videos and such I gave up. It's an older camera worth about $200 but I can't afford to replace it. I Checked the power source battery and it was 12v exactly. I checked the camera battery voltage and it was 8v exactly. I measured this dummy battery's voltage and it was 8.4 volts. Obviously I can't prove this damage my camera but know the battery output is supposed to be between 7.2 and 8.0 volts. So 8.4 is out of bounds and given nothing else changed I strongly suspect this product was the culprit. The product talks about all the "protections" it provides but they did not seem effective to me. Hopefully others won't experience this but use this with caution and definitely at your own risk.

Works great on my 2 camera bodies
I really like the battery adapter. It fits in the camera well and the voltage converter has a nice wide range to work with. The cord routing in the batter is nice because it lines up well with the cable escape built into the camera.I have used a 12V SLA battery pack and a 19V laptop supply to drive my camera for extended periods of time. No more dead batteries during my time-lapse shots. The only thing I would change would be to replace the barrel connection between the battery module and the voltage converter to a different size. I feel with both using the same size barrel jack there is a risk of accidentally plugging in my 12V supply directly into the camera. zto be fair, they do clearly warn you about this risk in the instructions. I have used electrical tape to semi-permanently connect the two pieces together and prevent accidents.

Works in 7D
Installed today on my 7D. Works well. Note it doesn’t come with 12V 1.5A power adapter. You have to find one of your own.

Beware if you intend to use this for a video shoot.
This works great for continuous power to my 5Dmk4. Especially for photography. Or video with non-primary audio. There’s a ground issue that causes a hum in the audio track. I’ve tried multiple outlets on different circuits to no avail.

It works
This interface works as advertised, very useful for stationary settups, astrophotography...Downside: you still need to conmute the door on the camera to turn on the unit.

Doesn't work at all
I received this item but unfortunately doesn't work. I sent a message to the seller but no response.

It works, but...
It works, but if you checked the battery level you'd see it's dropping slowly. Mine started out at 91% (not 100%), and then gradually dropped to 85% in 15 minutes, and still dropping. Makes me wonder: 1) Will it stop or it will be dead within a day of use? (I have not had a whole day session yet). 2) Is this a "normal" behavior?
