Too bad it doesn’t fit me, it’s too small to be a size XLI love the dress and the color… but how can I fix this??

Seriously, I could wax poetic about this dress all day! I am just in total love with it. I’m not even a dress person!! It’s the first dress I’ve bought (outside of a couple needed for formal occasions) in around 15 years.So, why this dress?! First of all, I live in Alabama. If you ever plan on visiting DO NOT do so in the summer time. That is, unless you want to experience living in a sauna 24/7. In that case, come on down!!My issue, however, is that a medical condition requires me to where compression hose for any length of time out of bed or when my legs can’t be properly elevated. Know how much fun compression hose are in extremely humid 100-degree weather? I’m pretty sure literal Hell couldn’t be much worse! But I’m also not trying to look like Thelma Harper from Mama’s Family (80s sitcom starring Vicki Lawrence….look it up & thank me later LOL) out here!I was despairing of ever finding a maxi dress that would reach to the perfect length that would completely cover the hose without me tripping over it. Granted I’m all Shorty McShorty over here (barely pushing 5’2” as a nurse so bluntly put it when I guessed my height at 5’3” & a half once), so I expected I’d need to pay to get it hemmed once it arrived. I could live with that just so long as it wasn’t too short.My other issue is that I’ve got lots of curves to spare & finding dresses that flatter said curves without making me look like I’m auditioning to star in the next Free Willy movie!With all that in mind, I took a chance on this dress due to the reasonable price (most clothing stores are extremely proud of their maxi dresses!) & Amazon’s lovely returns process.It arrived & simply exceeded all of my expectations! Even though I my mom on standby to help me pin it to the proper length for the local seamstress, I was simply delighted that we didn’t need to adjust it at all. The length was simply perfect at just above the floor or long enough to cover my feet while not being a trip & fall hazard for my clumsy, mobility-impaired behind.And the fit? A dream! It has a lovely empire waistline silhouette with will make you feel a little like a Bridgerton! It has a truly elegant flow to it & the material is both stretchy & unbelievably soft, without being heavy to weigh you down further in this oppressive heat. I wore it to work Saturday & my mom could not stop raving about how pretty it was. She even pulled it up on Amazon & recommended other colors I should buy. I had beaten her to the punch though as I had already ordered 3 more colors earlier that day. LOLTl;DR: Buy. The. Dress!! You won’t regret it.For the record, I’m more hourglass (with extra sand), or big bust (DD), hips, & butt. I ordered a XXL. I could have worn an XL, but I didn’t want it too snug or it would be more prone to prominently display any bulges. I don’t like tight clothing, personally, so I order my dresses & tops a bit larger than my actual size which is normally 16-18. Still, the dress is not in any way baggy or oversized. Truly a perfect fit.

This dress was super comfortable and flattering in all the right places. I did add a brooch to dress it up for a more formal event. I am 5'6 and my shoes were showing. It hit just below the ankle. I ordered the dress in black and did not have time to wash it ahead of wearing it. It did turn my armpits black, so that was fun. The good news, it did not stain my skin, but it did stain my undergarments. Obviously, the colors do run. If you do wash it, wash it by itself or with something the same color. It is very comfortable and flattering, so I would recommend it, after a wash though.

I wore this while I was 39 weeks pregnant and it was so flattering. The color is just as shown in the picture, the material is very soft and it’s the perfect size

It feels like you're wearing nothing at all. So incredibly soft and comfortable. The fabric crosses over itself at the just, and if I'm wearing it to work, I have to wear a little tank underneath it to make it office friendly, but if I were on a date it would be perfect😉

Appealing yet simple. Demure yet sexy. Soft , pretty, and really comfortable. Wasn’t revealing nor thick; just right.

The dress in the photo is clearly quarter length sleeves. The one I received was not. It’s a beautiful deep red and still very nice but the ad is misleading and the description is also incorrect.
