Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Nintendo Wii U

Ok, so by now everyone knows about Black Ops 2 and how it plays, so I will not go into detail with that. But I do want to tell you that this game is the best first person shooter on the Wii U. I know the Wi U just released, but for anyone who played the later versions of Call of Duty will really apreciate this one. First, the graphics have better detail than the PS3 and on is on par with the 360 (I own all 3 systems). The gameplay online is smooth, I did not see any difference in frame drops at all for the hours I've played the game. I havent played the campaign on the wii because I finished that part on a PS3, so I cant speak on how the game runs, but I will update when I do. Being able to play Black Ops 2 on the Wii U controller is pretty awesome. It will take anyone a bit of time to get used to the controller since it has the analog sticks on top and the x,y,b,a buttons on the bottom. To reload, jump, go prone is kind of difficult to do just because i'm so used to the other controller layouts. But with time I'm sure it will get better. Even though you can not take the controller too far from the tv, I was able to play 2 rooms away, so thats pretty good. black ops 2 looks pretty darn good on the controller screen and runs as smooth if not smoother than on the tv I kid you not. I also like that you can adjust the settings on the fly for the controller if in case the analog sticks are too sticky or too loose. To sum it up, if you own the Wii U and have not picked up black ops 2, do so, you wont regret it. If you have multiple consoles, I'd say the Wii U version of Black ops 2 is the best out of the bunch.

Gave this to my son for Christmas early (preThanksgiving) so he could play when he came home from college on break. We did not allow him to take it to college (the Wii) as there are enough distractions and we need him to keep his scholarship. Warning!!! Had to run out and buy a WiiU (I was told it was impossible but took me 1/2 hour to get the $299 one we wanted) since I did not know it would not play on the old Wii. Then came the HDMI issue and the new TV (another 1/2 hour). But he is a great kid and has deserved it. en played non-stop, not returning to any other COD game on the old Wii. He completely immersed himself and called it better than ever and awesome. I can tell this product made my son very happy. He really enjoyed himself. I know what he will be doing when he comes home for Christmas break and as we open gifts around his feet ;-)

This was my first COD game and it is soooo much fun. The multiplayer is very competitive, but fun. This game takes tons of practice to get good at, I was getting destroyed in multiplayer but now I'm somewhat respectible! Such a fun shooter, highly recommended. Pros - - great gun selection, there's around 40 different weapons and they are all unique and well balanced. It's easy to find a specific gun that suits how you play. - Good network - lag and disconnects have been very minimal for me Cons - - low playerbase, other than team deathmatch, domination and free for all it can be a little hard to find games on other modes at times. - knifing is somewhat broken. It is insanely hard to knife people in this game, very easy to miss and there's no lock on mechanic or lunge. - Low health. I wish you had more health, it is very easy to die in this game. Everyone drops like a fly in just a few bullets. This makes getting the higher scorestreaks extremely difficult and encourages camping and defensive play which is no fun for anyone. EDIT: I've had to lower my score to 4 stars simply because it was decided that there will be no DLC released for the wii u version, which hurts a lot. I'm so tired of the 10 or so maps available that I could puke. It's very sad that Treyarch has decided to give the middle finger to wii u users. I won't be buying anymore COD games on Wii U unless they release DLC. This is a monumental letdown for COD lovers on the Wii U.

This is the Best FPS game available for the Wii U! COD definitely delivers high quality gameplay to the Wii U! The graphics are great, natively displaying at 720p. Even though it is not natively 1080p, it still looks amazing. There are a few problems with the online gameplay. Every now and then there will be server problems and the game will pause and change servers. It usually only takes less than a minute. Not a deal-breaker, but something to consider. Even with the lower quality and server problems I'm still putting in dozens of hours a week. Wonderful game, I highly recommend to buy it!

I love having the ability to play Multiplayer on the gamepad. The online is surpisingly stable, although there are occasionally some framerate issues. I found this game visually stunning in certain parts, particularly when you are riding horseback through the desert. While the story of the campaign is slightly brutish, the gameplay is just excellent. If you're a fan of FPS's and have yet to play this game, I'm confident that you'll find this version the best one to buy, and I'm confident that you'll enjoy it.

Wow, I just got 50 MBit Internet...the best my ISP has to offer. I am connected via LAN CABLE direct to my Router. I have had my Router tweeked to work best with this Console. I should be running very fast with my perks and attachments...I have also tweeked my Wii Remote controls and other options trying to get faster..But the in Game movement speed and accuracy is absolutely HORRIBLE!! If they don't fix this with updates SOON, i will not play this anymore and will re-sell both my Console and this Game. BOOOOOO!

So if you played this on any other console then this is no different. Still keeps mostly the same framerate and the graphics are sharp like other HD console. No sure where the confusion is from others thinking this would work on their old Wii's but I guess that is an issue related to Nintendo's marketing of this console. Reason I got this verison over the others was Gamepad only play which is flawless. Love me some multiplyer while the wife or kids is on the TV.

the wii u version is by far the best version of this game. Pros the touchscreen is amazing for this game. yes your hands might get tired after a long play session, but the touch screen is amazing it really adds an element to this game that no other system can bring to it. the graphics too are better in my opinion on the wii u when i compare it xbox 360 (i have games on both systems) it looks sharper on the wii u . i play on a 60 inch vizio tv. other than that though not much difference Also the ofscreen play is awesome playing cod with my headphones while in bed with my wife is amazing although my hands do go numb from holding the game pad for a couple hours setting it down for a couple seconds helps allot. and you also need to make sure you are by an outlet to keep it plugged in that battery will run out quick Cons On any given day there are about 600 to 500 active players sometimes even 700 and 90 percent of them only play TDM!!! its very difficult to play any other game mode and even when you do there are only like 20 or so people in those lobbies so cue times can take really long and even when they dont your stuck in half empty games which is no fun. DLC you will not get any on the wii u version nuff said. nuketown is the only map we have received and that was about two years later now something that belongs in both pros and cons category i will separate in my review SKILL LEVEL! if you are not really good at cod games get it for the wii u the player base is not as skill full as lets say most of the people that play on the 360/ps3 . there are way more little kids and families playing on the wii u. even my wife managed to get a couple kills online while playing split screen and she didnt even know she got them till the game was over (which was hilarious) over all its way more laid back and easy playing on the wii u especially if your a casual. as far as the con goes if your really competitive you wont find that many players that are really good on the wii u they are rare so you might not be able to scratch that "What a hard fought" win feel you get after a close game. overall this game is amazing on the wii u, but with the lack of dlc and deep population the best parts of cod are never fully realized. i could only imagine this game on 360 with the gamepad features it would be awesome. but again its cheap now and its really not a bad game at all to have for the wii u

It was a nice product but sadly the wii u version didn't have any of the dlcs . Good shipping though.
