BeMo's Ultimate Guide to CASPer Test Prep: How to Increase Your CASPer SIM Score by 23% Using the Proven Strategies They May Not Want You to Know

Whoever wrote this book has obviously never taken this exam. The answers to the practice questions are really long and totally unrealistic. This book should be free since there are tons of Casper related material online that's totally free (MMI practice prompts). You literally only have 1:30min to answer each question and the answers they provide are multiple paragraphs. My advice, make a flow sheet of each type of question (ethical / safety / personal boundaries etc.) and print it out. Take that flow sheet, have it in front you while you practice each question while setting a timer for 5 mins. That is your best approach from someone who has actually taken this exam.

I just took the CASPer exam. I read this book and I found it to be really helpful. Some of the information, in the beginning, can be skipped if you are short on time. However, I LOVED their sample questions and explanations. I did all of them under timed conditions and I liked to see what the best responses would be that they gave. I understand that while they were long, it was also good to see a well-thought-out answer. I also liked to see the diferent types of CASPer question. This helped me during my exam to know what was the main problem at hand. I think that there are lots of good resources out there for CASPer including free sample test and other questions on the Internet. However, if you have the financial means, then get this book. The practice is invaluable and the advice that it gives is helpful

So I had a chance to buy this book and read it and I believe it is one of the best sources to prepare you for CASPer. It has step by step information about the test itself, the challenges of it and how to overcome and ace it. Make sure you dedicate enough time because this book is very detailed but if you are a skim reader, you can quickly go over the early chapters and then focus more on the chapters the specifically discuss the ways to do well in CASPer. I definitely recommend this book to everyone taking this test.

This guide was very comprehensive for everything you need to know about the CASPer test. What I found the most beneficial for me was the good and bad answer explanations. The first practice test had 12 scenarios followed by three questions and examples of bad answers with possible red flags and lengthy good answers. Even though you could never write the amount of information they did on the actual test, having an example with many potential talking points helped me structure my responses. Additionally, there is a discussion for why each example worked and didn't work, which showed me what experts are looking for in these responses. Lastly, the other practice tests were great because they addressed a wide variety of topics and allowed me to work on my writing strategy with timing constraints. Overall, I would definitely recommend this guide to anyone who is looking for CASPer prep that is cost-efficient and has quality tips and information.

While I completely agree with all the advises given in the book, I find that it is unrealistic to answer 3 questions in 5 minutes with 3 1 page essays like they are doing in this book. While they might be some people who are capable of typing 3 pages in 5 minutes, I don't think that the overwhelming majority of medical school applicants could type even one page in that time. I would recommend it to people who want to see some solid ethical dilemma questions but I would definitely discourage looking at their answer examples as they are unrealistically long.

written like it is the diary of an angry 13 year old. really weird book, i truly don’t know what to think. but, it is full of example problems, which is helpful. worth the buy, i guess. definitely recommend skipping straight to page 58 where the practice scenarios start, everything before that is just nonsense/ranting with plenty of grammar/spelling errors.

I'll come back and add to this more after a re-read, but overall I think it's quite helpful in showing you strategies to approach situational judgement tests, breaking down how best to communicate you're thoughts clearly and concisely, especially with such limited time! I also thought it was interesting how it breaks down the myths about situational judgement tests, and I would agree that you can indeed prep for these sort of things (like any interview) after reading this.

I liked that the book explored every possible scenario and question type that could be on the CASPer exam. However, the answers to practice questions were too long and detailed, which made these answers unrealistic with the time constraints you have to each question. This made me feel like I really did know how to appropriately answer a question because I couldn't possibly type an answer that long in the time limit that I had.

I've applied to medical school twice now (including this current cycle). The first time, I took the CASPer test without any preparation and I did not feel good coming out of it. I got no interviews in the end (from schools that required the CASPer). I remember running out of time, not knowing how to respond to the tricky scenarios, and my responses were a complete mess. This book changed the way I approached the test. What I found very helpful was the "framework" suggested to answering every question. What really drove it to a 5-star is the sample answers given for the sample questions, and explanations on what is a good or poor response. This book really walked me through step-by-step on how take on each scenario/question the right way. I just wrote the test again a few months ago, and I felt very good about it this time. Let's see if I'll get interviews...:)

BeMo's CASPer test guide provides a thorough breakdown of the CASPer test, with a focus on sample scenarios. This is one of the first guides I have come across that gives a really detailed breakdown of CASPer questions and responses- and the sample questions they provide are similar to what I have seen on the real CASPer test. Overall, it really helped me feel more confident answering CASPer practice questions and understand what the evaluators are looking for. Without giving too much away in terms of the contents of this guide, I'd say that after reading it, I better understand the purpose and the structure of the CASPer test, which in my case has made it much easier to approach.

The book helped me prepare very well for the CASPer, as there are many types of scenarios provided in the book with answers, and then scenarios that you could answer yourself. The answers are very detailed and provide you with a certain structure that really helps when answering CASPer questions. It helped prepare me for the CASPer SIM test, and the tips provided in the book are extremely helpful when you're trying to formulate an answer in such a short amount of time. It was a great purchase, and I am very satisfied with the information provided in the book. Very useful!

I bought this when my school of choice announced it was implementing the CASPer. My stats are borderline but I got my interview invite! This book gave me a blueprint I needed to answer anything the test could throw at me. I was confident writing the test. The examples were great and the instructions on how to approach the questions were amazing. I would highly recommend this book.
