For sure don't pay $50 for the MORE dead pedal. This thing is solid and the finish is quite nice. The finish is thin though so I have no doubt after a few scratches from rocks on the bottom of shoes it will likely rust if your in a humid environment. I'll update if that occurs. The install was pretty straight forward, I made sure the pedal rests on the ground. The two bolts that attach to the middle piece to the pedal are difficult to tighten when the majority of the pedal is already installed. Took me an honest 15 min from package opening to install and 10 min was just on getting all the secondary bolts tightened b/c it's kind of a small space and if your not a small person well your going to have a fun time.

I really like this dead pedal. It certainly adds to the comfort while driving my 2018 JL. I recommend this for its simple design and easy install. Some people may not be ok with the flex down to the pedals, but I think it’s worth it.

I have been looking for a dead pedal for my 2018 JL. After reading the reviews with the side mount and the extreme difficulty of installation, I decided to try this one at half the price. What a great decision and I am truly happy with this item. Installation took about 10 minutes – detailed instructions included. They include a nut that fits over the floorboard bolt so there is no reason to remove the existing nut. Definitely glad I made this purchase and highly recommend this item for anyone searching for a dead pedal for the 2018 and up automatic Wrangler JL.

The cars i had before my Jeep all had foot rests, and it was kind of annoying that the Jeep did not. Now it does, and my left foot is grateful.Make life easier on yourself, come armed with a socket wrench, a 5/16 or m8 1.25 nut and a couple matching washers. Use that nut, and fasten it on over the factory bolt because that thing does not want to budge. You'll also need an allen key to put the two pedal pieces together, but one was included in the box.

I got this for my husbands jeep because they don’t come with a dead pedal and we didn’t realize how much we used them until it was gone. Wen you finally get this one adjusted to where you want it, it’s fantastic. We both were surprised that we really like the give when you put your foot on it. It feels more like a real pedal than a dead pedal and that’s more comfortable to us.

Looks good and very sturdy. Perfect size. It was a bit hard to install. The picture looked different from the back piece I had. We got it to work and in place. Part of the difficulty was having to get to the screw on the Jeep but that had nothing to do with the pedal. Would buy again for sure.

This is a great product and a great price. I don't deny that the name brand is worth it, but this is such a great value. It takes a little bit to get installed right (it took me three times) - BUT - there is so much adjustability most anyone can get it in a comfortable spot. Four items: height/depth/angle/L-R placement are ALL adjustable. I thought that one bolt would be a little weak, but when it is all put together, it is as strong as a dead pedal should be. Yes, if I try to stand on it, there is some flexibility. So, may I say, DON'T STAND ON IT! The best part, it helps keep my floor liner in place. I would gladly recommend this to JL owners and would buy it again.

Very easy to install. But metal could be harder. If you press a bit hard on pedal (like to readjust yourself on the seat) it will bent. Will need to add something in the middle to support weight on it. Also I have some floor liners, if I want to remove when I do a car wash, I need to remove the pedal!One other thing is that you feel all the road and brake/gas pedal on your elft foot now.... Kind of annoying in city driving. I think adding a kind of rubber gasket on the main boat could help reduce that.
