I want to give this flute 5 stars but because it has a slight 'breathy sound', I gave it 4 stars instead. [I own 3 Spirit flutes and they all have this "breathy" quality to the sound.] .The flute itself is beautiful and when you make it a 5 hole flute, it just pick up and play.Even though it is a low B, it's still easy to play with medium-small hands. For about $100.00 more,if you can afford it, you could try a High Spririt flute and get a truly pure sound when you play.(I also own 3 High Spirit Flutes.) That said, I love playing ALL of my flutes for the peaceful joy I receive from the gifts of their voices.

The Flute has a nice sound. I am a novice to flute playing, with that said I think this instrument is not for beginners, it is easy to over blow to the next octave. I am learning very slowly each day gets better.

This flute sounds like it has a cracked reed and the notes don't hit exact pitch (According to more than 6 different pro digital tuners). There is another company that I found on the web that has pro/ pitch perfect flutes. I'm very disappointed by the fact that one Cherokee would sell a poor product to another of his own blood.

Dear Spirit Flutes!I can't even describe how happy I am that I chose among many sellers your product. I ordered it as my birthday gift and it came on the day of my birthday. Honestly I didn't expect this flute to be so beautiful. The picture doesn't show all the beauty of this instrument. My flute has gorgeous native strip along the instrument. It has wonderful cedar fragrant and first of all deep and mystical tone. It is my baby from the time I saw it.

This is truly a Breathtakingly Beautiful Flute!!! I absolutely love it, and the icing on the cake is that it sounds beautiful as well, low haunting, melodic beautiful tones. Beautiful craftsmanship. Great sound.. The picture on the site does this instrument a dis-service. You should post a slow moving video showing off the craftsmanship. I think that would show it's glory better. Just a slow pan across this flute from end to end, maybe with music from it in the background.

This flute is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship and art! The design and finish is beautiful. Spirit Flutes are fantastic Native American Style flutes. I own this flute and several others of his flutes in other keys. This is my favorite one of all the flutes I own. I must say that from the low deep A to the mid range keys Spirit flutes are on key and sound just fantastic. Not only is the sound great but the craftsmanship is superb. The inlay work is unbelievable. I have over a dozen flutes in my collection and Spirit Flutes are the one's I grab first, they are such a pleasure to play and the tones are so mellow and pleasing to the ear. If you are a beginner or seasoned flute player you can't go wrong with any of the Spirit Flutes. This maker has been given the gift and we are fortunate that he shares his gift with us.
