Versatile - Powerful - Light weight - Feature Rich
The media could not be loaded. I needed to take apart and old rotting rusted swing set; and wanted to get an impact wrench to remove all the rusted bolts and screws.Their are literally hundreds of impact wrenches and drivers to choose from; its maddening. Prices vary from $40 to hundreds. I also wanted a tool versatile to use all around the house from small drilling and fastening jobs, to bigger bolts and what not.I purchased 3 devices in total before getting to the Bosch freak which is primarily and impact driver that has the capability of an impact wrench. This is a great tool, and so far has handled everything I threw at it on low to medium power setting, still have not needed full power. As you can see from the video the rusted over bolts that have been there for 14 years were no match for the Bosch.I struggled with purchasing the big Dewalt, and or Malika which is are great tools; but after researching; its just overkill for DIY home use IMHO. I’m not running aa auto shop :)I was concerned that the 150 for-lbs would not cut it if I decided to change tires, or work on the car, so I looked up all the torque settings for my 4 cars and the worst case was 128 ft-lbs, and I have watched YouTube videos of this Bosch cracking bolts loose that were manually torqued to 190.So conclusion the versatility of this driver/wrench which clearly has all the power I need at home for DIY stuff checked all the boxes for me.You can also tell after using it it’s very well put together, very solid but light. Took half the swing set part and the battery (4ah) still shows full.Great little tool.

Perfect for my needs
Bought this remove lug nuts on my 04 Tundra. Works great and the battery lasts much longer than expected. Have not used it for anything else but imagine it will be just as great driving screws too. Very satisfied!

Opinions from a non-pro, after 4 years owning
I'm not a pro, on my house or my car. Life before this "Freak v2" was to drill holes first all around with a regular chuck drill, then switch bit, then drill nails for just simple crap like making raised beds. Easy enough, but doing something twice for this job that doesn't require precision is very tedious. With an impact, just send that wood screw. The car (a celica) was the worst. With a foot and a half clearance on jackstands at best, find a way to fit a 6 point socket and deity forbid, try to find clearance for a cheater pipe because everything is a crusty brown. This second gen Freak tool was like the reward for all the toils. I saw the reviews on the previous Freak, but I didnt like that it was really not up to snuff on power, so I waited. Then this one came out. This one improves on power and for a handy lay person like me that liked the Freak when it was v1, it can take apart and put together my house and car in one compact object. It will accept any hex bit, and it will also take a 1/2" socket right to it, no attachments. Stubby, normal, or long boy sockets, whatever.Again, I'm not a pro. I have never owned steel toed boots or started doing any of this sort of work at 6am. Just a guy that can maintain and work on his own house and car and this darn thing is what I've longed for but didn't know it until I had it.Also, of the big known tools, in my opinion it has the best colorway. I didn't buy the previous one because I wasn't sure if it would struggle with wheel lugs. Then they released this bad A.S. MFing one, and it zips them all off no problem.

BOSCH BLUE BRUSHLESS BEAUTY
Bosch redesigned the “FREAK” and I love the prior IDH182 model so much. What I miss most is the pistol grip, they must have changed to accommodated the Connect-Ready function. Thing is it doesn’t come connective, that’s something additional you have to purchase. Personally I see that as a downside, how doo you not include that in a kit? That aside it’s not something I really need for overall functionality, at least it’s not something I miss. The GDX feels bulkier even though it’s more compact, it’s concurred every task given. While I enjoy the 3 LED’s on the IDH182 placements, the single light on this model are noticeably brighter. The placement of the LED in the base throws the light nicely on surfaces. These impacts can take a beating driving 15/16 bolts all day long while staging an event. When doing fine residential work I can use the fine setting for intricate woodworking stuff. The ratcheting ability enables you the not over tighten bolts or strip real quality screws. Really both versions, this model and the prior are actually great, would buy both again any day, because Bosch blue has never failed me.

Great Tool For Small To Medium Fasteners
I have many Bosch 18V tools. Very reliable tools. Makes getting the job done easier. Just wish the batteries weren't so expensive, but they do last a long time. I have two of these Impact drivers. One for carpentry and one for mechanic work.

I will never, turn a socket wrench again, like some simpleton!
I have ripped lug nuts off my truck, my wife's truck, installed a 15 panel wheelchair ramp and have used it to put together so many other things, and it just rips through it like no other. My bro-in-law paid $400 dollars for a similar one that struggles with large lug nuts, this ripped through it. I had to be cautious when installed the ramp because it was literally snapping hardened steel bolts in half. For the price, it is an amazing device.

Really great tool
This impact wrench was well worth the money. Very powerful, great long lasting battery. Built to last. Definitely powerful enough to remove lug nuts from a wheel.Only negative is that it is a bit on the heavy side and very loud at full power.Highly recommended.

Cordless that can remove lug nuts
If you are looking for a cordless impact gun that can remove lug nuts, here is one worth the money. Jeep 110 lbs of torque, removal no problem. Replacing mag no problem with 110 torque, my test about 145lbs max with 4.0 batt. Now have 6.3 just perfect battery life for any garage. I would reccomend

Dead battery, great impact
The media could not be loaded. Received a dead battery. Non functioning and not charging. Hopefully the seller can help me out. Was definitely excited to change the winter tires this weekend..Edit*Amazon was able to refund me 20% of the original cost, which came to about $42. The price on Amazon for the exact same battery is listed as $119. So I'm bummed out about that. However, the impact driver and everything else is a great product. I opted out in returning the full set in my expense as I need the impact gun this weekend to change the tires.Edit 2* After using the impact driver to remove 90lbs torqued, it seem to struggle with my 1.8ah and 2.0ah batteries.. Not sure if the 4.0ah would have made a difference, but a great driver for screws.
