GOTO grease for your firearms and even knives
Having used all kinds of oils, CLPs and grease when I came across Slip2000 EWG I wasn't sure what to expect. I have had really good experiences with some oils--good lubrication, and longevity, no odor.;; as well as some decent ones with CLPs and grease. However, once I tried this stuff, it made everything else seem like water and inferior. Here's why: 1) It's the perfect viscosity. Not too runny like many greases, or too thick. Just right at where it goes on smoothly but stays put. 2) It's odorless. 3) WOW the lubrication is as good as any lubricant I've used--oil, grease, CLP, etc. And even after firing many rounds, check your rails, barrel, etc, you will still feel the grease and it's lubricating! It's protecting which is WHY you want grease NOT oil. 4) After using it on my 2011's, compacts, bolt-actions, semi-rifles, etc. in hot and cold weather, the protection is fantastic and has not caused any issues on any platform. I have not seen ANY other lubricant where it worked as well on everything. Usually an oil, or grease based on its weight/thickness worked a little better on one or the other. 5) Makes clean-up so much easier too. Carbon wipes off easy! 6) *bonus* great on knives and literally even diving in salt water it STILL beaded off.

Love this grease - much better than oil
I have been using gun oil on my guns for years and years. I never really tried using grease, partly because it seemed like it would be a messy job and I would probably wind up with grease where I didn't want it, etc. Deciding to give the Slip 2000 a try, I am impressed! I have used Slip 2000 on several guns now, and I really like its performance. I could feel the difference immediately on the first gun I lubed with it. The slide racked much smoother and quieter than it does with just oil. Applying the Slip 2000 grease is also very easy to do with this syringe. It is easy to get just a dab directly into the slide rails with the tip. To prevent the grease from continuing to run out of the syringe, simply pull the plunger back out slightly. The application can be very precise. For larger application areas, I just dab a bit on and use a fingertip to smear around. There is still, and will always be a place for good old oil. Some parts of the gun need a drop of oil rather than grease. But there are several reasons to consider using grease instead for general lubrication: 1. It stays where you put it. Unlike oil, grease is thick and does not run or drip. The dab you put in the slide rails will still be there the next time you clean the gun. How many times have you field stripped your gun after a day at the range and thought "where the heck did all the oil go?". With grease, you won't have that issue. 2. Resistance to heat. This grease is made for lubricating parts that get hot. After a day consisting of an IDPA match, some practice, and shooting a qualifier event - all the grease I had applied to the outside of the barrel was sill there - still moist - still lubricating. Oil would have been long gone! 3. Resistance to gravity. After oiling a gun and either hanging it up or lying it down, the oil immediately begins to drain to the lowest area (and sometimes out completely). Yes, you'll still have a very thin coating of oil, but not nearly what you had applied. I know this is a little redundant to my first point, but this relates more to storage than use. One syringe of Slip 2000 should last quite awhile. At the price, it's a great value and a top notch lubricant for your guns.

It's all in the name
My review is based on using this on my AR15, Mossberg 500, 2 Glocks, 1 Taurus and a Kahr. That being said, it works just as others have stated. Some additional things that may help when buying this (as it is truly worth every penny)... First: Many have said "a little goes a long way". Yes and no, if you have never pre-greased your firearm (i.e. only used oil to lube) then you will be needing more than average after a good cleaning -particularly with ungreased bolt carrier groups. Plan on longer cleaning times: This stuff really is hardcore. It goes on buttery smooth -and then STAYS on. It won't run, drip or squirt everywhere, but wherever you do apply it... you will need a cloth and brush to clean off the nasty to re-apply the clean. If you get any on your jeans then they just became a new pair of "work-jeans". On that note: Be sure to remember this is a syringe! I say that because, as I learned the greasy way, once you apply pressure to the plunger to get some out and scape it off the tip -stop here and PULL THE PLUNGER BACK UP SOME! Otherwise the pressure remains in the tube and sitting it down anywhere will result in another inch or so of grease coming out. Overall, a great product and a MUST to carry to the range or in the field. UPDATE: so after having this a while I keep finding more application outside of "weapons" I use this on my hair clippers to keep them running smooth, anything that squeaks (goodbye WD-40 and its odor). Still recommend the syringe style, but will be buying a few more!

Awesome Extreme Weapons Grease. EWL is a mUst have too
This is a great long lasting weapons grease . It does not attract dust or burn off as other products do . This stuff works wonders on Sig Sauer pistol rails and ever other gun . This is a great product for Ar 15 Bolt carrier groups . This is also a little bit cheaper then MilCom TW25b and works much better . A little goes along way . The Syringe works great for getting a nice run along the pistol rails . This product is the same as the small tub of EWG which was designed for heavy use on Machine Guns like the SAW and other LMGS . This is a top notch product top to bottom and belongs on every bench and range bag . The other Slip 2000 products are top of the line to . The Slip 2000 EWL is my top product of choice for a CLP type product with excellent results over reg CLP . This is a Top quality line of products and build a nice Kit for every gun guys bench and range bag .
