2-Pack - Patapon and Loco Roco

We have a grandson,9, who is dyslexic and has reading difficulties due to a severe illness when he was 3. This year I got him some games for his PSP as a birthday gift. The day he got them he came to our home to visit for 2 days. I have never seen this young man so excited to learn something! He struggled at first but once he caught on, he just took off. I found a couple walkthrough links on the Internet and read them out loud to him and they must have really helped because he just zoomed through a couple of levels he had previously struggled with. Patapon is so funny! The beat of the drums required to maintain the hunters' fever pitch means the player has to keep count at all times in order not to lose the impetus. Now if my grandson, bless his heart, can conquer 3 levels in just over 2 1/2 hours of play on this game alone, then just about any child should be able to do at least as well. It's a really fun game! LocoRoco is also a blast, though we didn't get into it as much since once the little man got hooked on Patapon he didn't want to put it down. For someone on a budget who wants to get their kids a game that isn't violent or full of suggestive or tightly-clothed females, this is a wonderful choice. It's apparent that these games are meant to be fun and not gory; as a Christian grandparent I really can't find anything to complain about with these games. There are a lot of other games that glorify violence, rebellion, and other non-desirable traits for Christians; it's really refreshing to find a couple of inexpensive games that you can trust your kids to be able to play without being concerned about them getting the wrong idea about killing or other themes that go against our morals. Thanks to Amazon for offering this combo at such a great price!!!

Quickly shipped product! Received within four days, the product had all of what I was expecting, contained both games with cases, manuals, and UMD discs!

I bought this for the game LocoRoco, which justified the price all by itself. LocoRoco is a brilliant game and the entire reason I bought an older model of the PSP. Wonderful fun game with lots and lots of levels. Patapon has been an added bonus that I am only slowly discovering. I'd highly recommend this -- unbeatable for the price and the fun!

Unfortunately, my 6yr old does not like these games. I thought I had done a good job of researching, but he gave it his "poopie game" (i.e., lame), rating.

Great PSP games at a great price. Patapon and Loco Roco are two of the must have games for the PSP gaming system. Both games are very fun to play. Games come in their own retail plastic UMD case inside the paper box you see in the picture similar to a DVD set.

Didn't come with games

I would suggest buying only Loco Roco to save a little money. My son loves it, but isn't a fan of Patapon.

I got a great deal on Amazon for this two game pack. I am not a gamer, but after reading the positive reviews, I bought it for my 8-year old son who has been playing both now regularly for several months now. Patapon is a where you follow a rhythm to attack things, it's like some little stick tribal figures. Loco Roco is about these blobs that can split into smaller blobs you roll through different worlds that can turn upside down for you to get around the levels.

Great game. Bought this for some friends who love it.
