As do Mar Sardines in Olive Oil with Hot Chili Peppers 120gr Tin (pack of 4)

I love sardines with a soupcon of heat - chili specifically. Plain sardines, unless fresh, are just canned fish to me. Sardines with a little chili spice up a sandwich with cucumber delightfully and make for a wonderful lunch or an early supper if I have had a big lunch - or if I am just too tired to cook more than toast. Like most older women I have a hard time going shopping, then lugging everything home, unloading the car etc etc etc - you get the idea. To be able to purchase and have them delivered is a heaven sent convenience. The sardines are delicious and not too hot - for example I cannot eat them with jalepenos, there is a big difference in taste and heat. These fit the bill perfectly, I had not ordered them before, and am delighted with this purchase.

I usually prefer the multi-layered small brisling sardines, like the ones sold by King Oscar, but these bigger but oh-so-delicious sardines more than pass the muster. These aren't really "hot," even if you eat the two red chili peppers inside the can, but provide a slight "kick" to go with the mild taste of the sardines.I'm giving this only four stars because I encountered a couple or more scales in pretty much every can I opened, which I have never encountered with King Oscar, Crown Prince, or Wild Planet brands.

I like the chilis in the oil - they diffuse into the oil and give the sardines a nice, if very mild, kick.

Loved it! Just like the ones available in Portugal. Excellent quality. No fishy smell.

My old man said these sardines are the best he ever had...
