Besides the fact that they took almost two months to get here (that means Amazon will not let you return them, but they did give me a refund) they are not even stainless!!! The part you would put your foot on is only an 1 1/2 inches wide. The welding looks like it was done by a first grader. It is 4 steel spikes welded to a piece of 1/8 inch angle iron. The angle iron looks and feels like it was cut by a beaver. Extremely rough and not even filed off! The straps wouldn't hold your books together let alone trusting your life to them. They tack welded a bent piece of steel wire to the bottom of the angle iron and that is supposed to hold one side of the straps. The points on the spikes are bent. These things aren't even worth scrap steel. I can not believe someone would actually sell these let alone assume you would trust your life to them. DO NOT BUY!!!! I wish there were negative stars. I would give these a negative 10 stars.

Ordered back in april finaly arrived in june (nearly two months). After opening the package found out the item doesn't resemble what is shown in the pictures. Instead of two rings welded to the outer plate they just welded one dead center (I feel like someone could do a better job welding with their eyes closed). The strap used to secure the attachment to your shoe is so short you can't route it as they show in the photos (you have to double back over top, and even then you feel like your going to lose blood circulation in your foot). Also the material for the strap feels like it will lose its durability very quick, causing a safety concern that is if the welds don't give first.
