Add I2S support to microprocessor
The new version of Teensy 4.0 just came out, and I was looking for a way to play some simple sounds. In previous Teensy's the system had a DAC (digital to analog converter) that I could hook up to amplifiers and a speaker to play pre-recorded sounds. Unfortunately, the Teensy 4.0 does not have a DAC, but instead it was I2S support. I was able to quickly add I2S support, hooking up the MakerHawk MAX98357 to the Teensy's I2S pins, and to an Adafruit breadboard speaker. It played well.

Makes all the difference
This DAC was a cheap and brilliant way to improve the audio quality of my esp32 project. It turned awful sound quality with horrible background noise to incredibly clear and enjoyable sound. I personally found lowering the gain to 3db worked best for my project.
