Paid for new and got used.
I bought these for my husband and he says they feel like they fit which is awesome. What is not awesome however is I bought new shoes and these have clearly been worn at least once. There is dirt all over and rocks and tree stuff imbedded in the tread. There are also some scuffs. Husband needed them for work so as long as they hold up I’d say they are worth every penny. Only reason it doesn’t have 5 stars is that I am extremely disappointed that I paid for new instead of used and they have clearly been worn.

Major durability issues
The boots fit great and required very little break in, especially while wearing wool socks/moleskin for hiking. The major issue is that the sole is already starting to peel apart. I've owned these for about a month now, in which I went on a few small hour long hikes, and then a long 4 day hike/trip. Granted it was a demanding trip, but these boots should not be falling apart this quickly.

Top notch boots!
These Ariat boots are top notch! May be the best boots I've ever worn. They fit as expected, are very comfortable and have a stylish, rugged look to them. They are well constructed, sturdy and excellent padding/ cushioning. I also have several pairs of various Timberland styles - these Ariats are every bit just as good. These boots are very comfortable for work, walking/ hiking and are a stylish choice for everyday wear or casual office wear. Would recommend.

The Honey Badger of hiking boots.
This is my second pair of Ariat Terrain hiking boots. I don't hike, but I do walk around a lot...wait, isn't that the same thing as hiking? Anyway, the first pair of Ariat Terrain boots are still going strong after 5 years. Seriously, they are still in fantastic shape. Even the soles are holding up phenomenally and I'm NOT a dainty little girly-man. I'm 6'3", 300 pounds of Grizzly Bear in human form, but still haven't been able to wear out these shoes. "OK Grizzly Bear Man, if your first pair shoes are still in such great shape, why are you buying another pair?" I'll tell you why, I simply wanted another color. This is AMERICA and people can have more than one pair off butt-kicking boots!Seriously though, great boots and they really do hold up quite well.

Happy feet
This boot is very well made. I have had three pair of these boots and i am very satisfied. I havent found another boot to match this quality. The sole is the perfect thickness and comfortable. My feet dont hurt at all after wearing these all day.

Good boot for the price.
I normally purchase Thorogood , Chippewa and other U.S. made boots for daily wear outside and while walking and hiking. Sadly, there is no such thing as a 90 dollar pair of American made boots. I have several hammer toes on each foot and need a wide toe box. I was looking for a combination walking-hiking-general wear boot that's lightweight and requires no break-in. I have been wearing these boots daily for 9 months and still like them. They were comfortable out of the box. I oiled them up well with pure Neatsfoot oil and right away took them on a 7 mile hike that had good ups and downs and several creek crossings. They performed well. As far as traction is concerned they are a compromise at best. Great care is needed on wet or loose slopes and rocks. On the other hand, the tread is designed to be fairly even to slip in and out of a saddle stirrup easily. Most boots suitable for hiking with heavy-lugged Vibram soles would be dangerous to wear while riding a horse. Additionally, I can come in from the pasture without having to take them off or do a stomping and scraping jig to avoid bringing a lot of the pasture into the house with me. The insoles could be better. They basically failed after 6 months and were not providing support. I went into a Red Wing store and put a pair of custom insoles in them that made them far better than when they were new. All in all these are a decent boot for the price. Very comfortable. In the summer I often wear Chaco sandals, but so far I've not felt compelled to get out of my boots in a hurry. I will more than likely order another pair this summer, since just the other day I spilled about a cup and half of turquoise paint on my left foot. The old pair I'll expect to last as beaters for quite a while longer... I put this review away for a few months and now I'll finish it. It's about two weeks to the day when I ordered these boots in July of '19. They have literally been worn all day, every day. Today I noticed they are failing at the toe guard. Separation is happening on the big toe side of each boot where the rubber toe guard meets the sole. They are now officially beaters and I'm about to order another pair. The only complaint I'd have about these boots - other than the fact they aren't made in the U.S. - is the insoles. They're crap. Virtually no support after about 4 months of daily wear and weekend hiking. I solved that issue by going into a Red Wing store and getting a pair of their insoles. Those insoles are still working great and will go into my new boots as soon as they get here. Here's how I look at it, 90 for the boots and 50 for the insoles is 140 dollars, divided by 365 works out to about 38 cents a day for trouble free, comfortable all purpose boots.

Neither Womens or H20
So apart from the small issue that these are mens boots, so watch your sizing, and are not H20, but a normal hiking boot, i actually love them. I chose the correct size, a mixture of luck and judgment, and they are as comfortable as I remember my old Ariats being. I thought the price sounded way to low for H20’s so wasn’t shocked that they aren’t! What they are is really comfortable and I am no longer crippled after a day on my feet and riding at the barn

These are in men's sizes, not ladies'.
It is a lovely boot! I ordered it as a 10 2E. But I received a man's 10 2E. It was much too big. It even had a tag on it, saying it was a man's boot. But was shown as a ladies' boot when looking at it on the Amazon site. Sadly I returned them.

Great boots!
I ordered the size 8 wide for my daughter and she loves them. We ride long distances (endurance) and also have to run beside our horses at times and she has found these boots comfy for both activities.
