worked great! so glad this is an option for winterizing a pool.

I used this to close my pool this season and it SEEMS to be a nice item and makes things a lot less work. We wont know until next spring at opening but it seems good to go. One thing I had to do which wasn't much work. They could be a little less long because they were bottoming out before the o-ring was seated for a good seal. All I did was sand off a little of the inside thread, just enough to make the o-ring seat without over tightening which isn't good for plastic parts. Other than that your pool fitting may be deeper? Either way its a good product and saved us lots of time and work closing.

Works as stated

ice pulled the rubber cover off of the two i had installed. one of them also leaked back into my supply line back to the pump. I disconnect the pump in the winter and I was loosing water through the open pipe.

Having to put pool antifreeze in the lines after blowing out the lines using this device defeats the purpose as well as doesn't give me much confidence in the product. I decided they weren't worth the risk.

We have been using them for the past few years. They work great! Have never had an issue. Would definitely recommend.
