the problem is getting the old fob circuit out of the old fob, that is almost impossible without destroying it, then you have to swap the key part out by getting the pins out of the key blades, i used a watch pin remover the old key blade fit the new fob but then the pin wouldn't go in because the channel / groove in the original key blade wasn't deep enough so i used a tiny drill bit on the channel to make it bigger / deeper then i still had to use the same bit to drill the hole new fobs part that holds the key blade, i finally got it all together but after i tried it the doors open button would not work, so i went back on the internet and bought a brand new key fob!

I assembled this key and it worked. Then the key fell apart and landed in the car. After that the keypad functions did not work. I figured somehow the chip board got damaged when it fell apart. Then it fell apart once a dah and i decided to take it back. I put my key back in the old casing and the keypad functions worked once again. Im not sure why it stopped working or why it would fall apart. But i cant pick my key up once a day off the ground so i returned it.

There were no instructions. I had no idea how to "easily transfer components". Everything pops out when you open the case. Thank God for my husband. He figured out how to put everything back in. It took him at leaat 5 tries and a lot of frustration. The spring has to be turned 3 times with the key to give it resistance so it can flip out. It is a flip key, after all. Who the heck would know that? Oh! And make sure you push the button down with the spring and put the lid on real fast so the spring doesn't pop out. SMH....

It works as it states, the only thing is the the key push button has to be “SLIGHTLY” altered to have the key to flip out IF you are using the original key that came with the old/broken remote

Attention: je vous conseille de ne pas changer la coque de votre clé, car mon chevy sonic ne démarre plus depuis que j'ai changé la coque!!!
