I especially like the Iris File Box for just that, files! I have so many that it is wonderful that I can fill these and stack them if need be. Their feet fit in the groves of the lid for sturdier stacking as well! They can be used for endless items as well. They are sturdy but you can still see well enough to determine what is inside, such as clothes, blankets, files, newspapers, CDs, DVDs, pictures, holiday decorations etc. The green handles may pop out, but these go back! So many other brands do not. Often these are priced almost the same as cheaper files that arrive broken. These do NOT. I stopped ordering ANY other kind They package them in and inside box with a tough outside box as well. The green handles allow you to organize more easily too! They fit in shelving well too. I downsized everything...and just kept my important papers that were absolutely needed...and I purchased these FILE FOLDER CONTAINERS to go under my 18" platform bed! They are perfect. All these need to keep files....but not need to access files are in a watertight container that has great lids and stack so easily if needed. Excellent item...and they cost a bit more than some file folder containers and ARE WORTH IT...much studied, handles make it easy to carry and they will not have any moisture or dust ...and these containers are not going to break easily....really well made.

Don't waste your money like I did! These are way too expensive for this kind of junky trash. From the first day I got these, every time I open any one of the 4 boxes I bought, the green locking clasp is so cheaply put on that they both just fall off on to the floor. Right now I need to get into these boxes every day and then have to spend way too much time re-attaching the horribly made and cheap clasps. There is barely enough plastic to hold the formed pins into the slots in the boxes. Sometimes if they are not locked down just brushing by them knocks them off. I'm going back to Target, Wal-Mart, or Home Depot and get some boxes like this that I have been using for years (at a cheaper price) and have gotten into them a lot without ever having one clasp falling off or breaking. I'm really quite disgusted with these . I thought these boxes would be the answer to my problem of having many plastic boxes of different colors and sizes for all my business and home paperwork. I thought I would look so organized by having all my boxes match and I'd be buying lots of these to replace all the other boxes. HA! I'm going to use them to take my unwanted items to the thrift store and just leave them there. They are totally unusable for anyone trying to run a business or even a household. You can see from the picture the two little pins formed into the plastic. These do not fit correctly into the box bottom so keep falling out.

This is the second time I've bought these. I like that they are opaque, and that they stack on top of one another. I had no problem with the first set I bought. With the second set, one of the boxes arrived with a long, deep crack the entire length of one side and partly along the bottom, and one of the handles was broken. The four boxes came in a not very strong cardboard box with no padding, making it appear that the bottom box broke when the package was dropped before delivery. No one at the company answered the phone when I called numerous times, though amazon gave me a partial refund when I called them.

I absolutely love these. I've seen the reviews where people say the handles don't stay on. I think maybe it's how the handles are put on the box. About 4 of them were off when I received them. I found a way to put them on securely. There are pegs at each end of the handles. I put the left peg in first and the handle has to be a bit tilted to the open position. Then I pull it to the right and snap the right side peg in . The handles don't flip open and closed easily but, they're very sturdy. Also, I've heard that the center isn't wide enough to acccomodate files. Mine are all a perfect shape. The file hangers fit and slide freely. I like the little feet on the bottom too. These are really great for the money. I've purchased plastic boxes from "brick & mortar" stores that are not as good.

When the file boxes are not received broken, they are great. I have ordered them twice, and each time one or two of the file boxes came in damaged. They will not send just one or two of the replacement file boxes to you. You must return the entire order and re-order the file boxes.

I love these boxes! I use them for 10" x 13" manila envelopes of sewing patterns. They stack well. I have some stacked 6 high. Yes, there is a small problem of handles falling off, but you just put them back on. They don't fall off when latched. Also the price has gone up so much that I hope I won't need any more for awhile, so I had to now give value for money a 4 star rating. They treated me so well on the following shipping issues that since I can't give them 4.5, I gave them 5 stars! I ordered 1-2 sets of 4 of these several times. A couple of times I got grey handled ones, rather than green. A time or two 1 out of 4 boxes were damaged. Each time I phoned Amazon and was sent another box of 4, immediately, no charge, no return. One broken must have been in a box of grey handled ones, because my orders show that I got 13 boxes of 4, out of which 3 were free. So don't order if you have no time to wait a day or two for replacements.

I will be talking with the manufacturer or seller to see what to do about this but only one came in completely intact. 3 are missing at least one foot pad not to be found in the box anywhere. And one is completely broken with both handles broken off. Yikes.

Great look and size. I intend to use them as memory boxes and have yet to put the file folders and items in them. One at orange container arrived with the handles not attached. It wouldn’t have been too big of a deal because they are easy enough to reattach, but one of the handles is cracked. The other three appear to be in good shape. Overall, I think they’ll do the job.
