I purchased this case to store, transport, and protect, a relatively large camcorder, as well to centralize all the extra batteries, directional mics, lights, chargers, etc. I can find no better case on the market. An excellent choice for the novice or professional. The little hexagon foam pieces you remove to configure the 'hole' for what you're securing are very easy to use and are much easier to deal with than cutting solid foam blocks, which is a pain. There are 2 blocks of foam which it great since many items have a different 'bottom' shape than the 'top'. You've got to get both right to really snug thing down. Measure 5 times, pull out foam hexagons once, because once pulled out, there're not going back.Extremely tough case, a lot of great latches. Only 2 things I would point out. 1) these cases are smaller than they look. Go bigger than you think. And 2) Consider the roller, even if you don't travel a lot. Theses cases are deceptively heavy, even before they are filled.

The exterior shell, locking mechanisms, case volume and enclosed foam interior (i.e. internal shell and Pick n Pluck foam layers) have all performed as detailed in the marketing materials - I am very satisfied. However, the initial order taken and sent via Buy Direct & Save (an Amazon affiliate) was missing ALL the critical interior foam. Although the immediate return of the flawed item was quickly agreed upon (notwithstanding my extra time re-labeling, re-packing and delivering to UPS for return and ultimate refund), this initial delivery error could have easily been avoided by Buy Direct & Save. I cannot recommend selecting/using Buy Direct & Save at any time for any product.

As advertised. Very rugged. I'm very happy with it. I nervously checked my camera gear for the first time for a photo trip to Maine. I had TSA locks on the case and one of them got damaged in transit but the case came through with no damage and, more importantly, neither did my gear. I added a Vanguard Divider Bag 53, which is a perfect fit for the case and the cushioning it provided kept my gear safe. I'm very happy and feel as comfortable as I can checking my gear, which is always a bit disconcerting. Very please with the product.

When I first got this case I was happy with how it looked, because the plastic walls are thick and sturdy-looking. I also like the foam that you can adjust to fit whatever gear you're putting in there. However, the very first time I went to shut the case after I put my equipment in there, the two plastic clasps on the front both snapped and broke. The clasps on the sides were still in place, so I was still able to put it on the plane. I think they should switch to metal clasps. But it still held my gear well, keeping it from any damage.

I am very satisfied with this case. I purchased it to carry on sales calls. I sell dental loupes, which are very expensive magnifying glasses used in dentistry and surgical procedures. This case allows me to get a sample of each of my loupes all in one easy to carry case which keeps the loupes secure in one place so they don't rock around or look cock-eyed when I open the case. They are also protected from knocking into each other and scratching. The custom padding is fantastic. It took me a while to get the little hexagons out so that I had a perfectly shaped pocket for each loupe, but once I did the end result was perfect. The trick is to figure out exactly how you want everything to fit inside the case before you take any of the dividers out. The dividers are like cylinders, only they're hexagonal instead of circular. They are all connected to each other when the case comes in, but they're perforated in such a way that you can tear out single or multiple cylinders at a time, leaving a clean, professional-looking space to place an item. Above and below this customizable padding are additional pads that offer more protection from the super-sturdy plastic shell. I left as much of the customizable padding in as I could and ripped out just enough that the loupes could be pushed in snugly and would not move around or appear out of place after I opened the case again. I even tested how well it held them by putting all the loupes in and throwing the case around a room, dropping it on the ground and rolling it. I opened it up and the loupes were not only in perfect condition, they were in the same place I left them... pretty much, anyway :-) I'm very satisfied with this case. Below the handle there is a spot to put a card with your name on it; I carefully sliced a piece of my business card and inserted it and it looks great. The latches seem very sturdy, the case is totally solid, and I believe the gasket will make it watertight as advertised, though I haven't tested that. I am very satisfied with this case.
