Strong and sturdy (if you use it with the right loads)
This arm is perfect for positioning lights or a small camera just where you need it. See the photo for my set-up - I needed to get a light positioned *just so* to make me look my best for videoconferencing, and had no room behind or around my desk for a traditional light stand. I also tried one of the cheaper spring-arms... they're just not stable enough. The arm's joints requires some force to lock down tight, which is good. That means it is locked down tight! On a side note - the company included a surprise gift in my package, which arrived broken (the arm was in perfect condition). I wrote to tell them of the broken gift, and they quickly replaced it and are excellent communicators. I strongly recommend this company and their products!

This thing is great
This is a very well designed and implemented arm for holding cameras, cell phones, projectors, lights, iPads, anything with a standard 1/4" tripod mount or that can be adapted to one such as with a holder. Sturdy, stable, comes with a level. It has joints and swivels allowing just about any possible configuration, including put away out of the way. Comes with a cell phone adapter/holder. This thing is really great. Well done, Heron.

Sturdy for smaller cameras, but cannot break the laws of physics
I wanted a sturdy overhead mount for my Sony a6000 for some video work I do, and I didn't want to break an arm and a leg paying for it. But I also didn't want the cheap springy version that bounces like crazy and can't hold up with a small mirrorless camera and lens. This thing is rock solid once you get everything tightened. The one flaw is the very bottom, where the arm secures to the base that clamps to your desk/surface, rotates a little if you hit the arm while filming.I avoid doing that, and don't have much of an issue. Also, this thing is rock solid but if you bump the table or surface to which it's clamped, it will have a slight wobble at the end... that's just physics, and you'd need some massive mount with shock absorbers to prevent that. Or you could use a tripod that's not attached to your work surface.A solid product, the only reason for 4 stars is it can be a little cumbersome trying to get all the joints aligned and tightened unless you have two people. It's doable but can take some time due to a little slop in the metal joints while they're loose.

This is the camera mount.....
I am a painting instructor and I needed a mount to hold a second camera for online workshops. I needed the mount to be strong and tall enough to cross over my drafting table and allow me paint underneath with tall brushes. This mount has worked well and it holds the camera very securely. Worth the money.....

Great stand exactly what I was looking for
This was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a stand that would hold up my Canon m50 directly above my desk to record me drawing. It's the perfect height, it's flexible when the screws/lever things are loose so I can position it wherever I want, but very sturdy when they are tight. I just bought a second one so I can position a second camera too.

Love this arm
I needed this to be able to film for my new you-tube channel -heathermarieloves2 - follow me!!! It works perfect. You do have to adjust it by just trying to see what works for you. It feels very sturdy and my camcorder does well on it.

Weak Link
I had high hopes for this stand even considering four feet to be a tall ask of any stand like this. The adjustments are clumsy and mildly frustrating but the whole stand is attached to the table mount base by a small Phillips screw that will not stay tight. They provide a small right angle Phillips screwdriver for attaching it but you can’t get enough leverage to keep it tight. So even with a small webcam on it the whole thing wobbles. It seems like they gave it some thought in the engineering phase but just there in the towel when it came time for the base. The rest of it seems sturdy but it’s useless with that method of mounting it to the base that holds the whole thing to the table or shelf you put it on.I‘m returning this.

Nice quality product at a great price
I used this product for setting up overhead shots for cooking videos. Once you secure and tighten all the joints, the rig is very stable. I can't speak to the long-term viability of the rig since I've only had it for a short while but the build quality seems high for a product of this price. If you're looking for overhead shots on a budget, this is a very good option worth considering.
