Bought for tick protection for dogs
I have only had a chance to use it once. It has a strong smell but it is not a bad smell.I mixed mine with distilled water as a "carrier" to the oil. I put a direct drop on the dogbase of neck and tail and then spritzed their paws. I was walking them in short grass andthe one dog had a regular big brown dog tick on his head - but he may have brushed up againsttaller grass - i pulled the tick off his fur - would have the tick gotten off because of the smell, i don't know yet.Plan on using later this month to see how they do. I am most worried about the lyme and other tick illnesses that are so rampant in the State of New York. I was told there are two types of rose geranium oil and this is the one you need - watch the formal names of them.

It works to repel mites extremely well
This is the real deal.Use on myself and my dogs to repel mites.and smells great.remember to never use on cats,it's toxic on cats.the small amount I use on myself doesn't hurt them, just don't use directly on them.

I bought this use as a tick repellent
It has a very strong scent so a little goes a long way, I cut it 10 to 1 with jojoba oil as the carrier. So far I haven't found any ticks on my dog or me, we live in a Lyme's disease hot zone plus I live in a wooded area, I will revise if I find ticks on us

I use this as a tick repellent for myself and my dog
It is a strong, flowery scent but that’s what is great about it. For some reason it repels ticks and my dogs and I live in the woods...so far so good!

Excellent tick repellent.
Very strong and effective oil for ticks. We go to the wood quite often, in the early spring the ticks are very active. Within 5 minutes my dog gets dozens of ticks crawling on her if I don't use this essential oil. Dozens! I am not exaggerating. With this oil, not a single tick. But I do use quite a lot (at least 10 drops in different spots of her body, including her tail). The best tick repellent oil I have tried so far. It's a petty it's no longer for sale.

For ticks?
Got it for my husband for ticks when he is on the farm or in the woods. We have not tried it yet as tick season just is over. I saw this on a website that said it would keep ticks off. I'm hoping it works. He has had lime decease twice. Will let you know next summer if it works.

The real deal
I am so impressed with the quality of this essential oil. There are different rose geranium oils and I have been searching for the Pelargonium capitatum x radens.and found it here. I had been ordering from another distributor and they switched species without notice. I could tell the difference right away before discovering the switch. I love the way this smells and I use it as an insect repellant in the summer months. So happy to have found Flora Aromatics and plan on ordering more oils from them.

Shipped as it appears on site
Received as advertised on site. I bought this to make my own natural tick repellant. The scent is similar to bug spray - go figure! The smell is strong, which I take as a sign of high quality. It's a pricey product but it goes a long way because I only need to use a few drops at a time.
