Cute Gift for the Photog in Your Life
This camera lens coffee cup looks so real it is uncanny. We gave it to our son for Christmas and he was freaking out thinking it was a real new lens. I kept telling him "It's not what you think it is, it's not what you think!" He showed it to friends who were impressed with his high quality lens too... good laughs.

just get it!!
It is so cool! Looks great and holds about a cup of coffee. It isn't huge at all. Make sure if you put it in the dishwasher you take off the rubber grips that surround the mug. If you do not, they turn whitish from the soap and will probably crack from repeated use. just saying.

It is a very unique as a gift! The mug looks so real. The only thing about it is that it is not leakproof...you won't be able to carry it in a bag or wiggle it around. Also if you pour a hot luquid it cools of fast because it is not sealed well. Overall this is a unique gift for keen photographers ,but not very usable.

Fun Little Mug With One Significant -- But Fixable -- Design Flaw (If you've had water get down inside yours, read this!)
This is a fun little thermos mug, and fits the novelty niche quite well while at the same time being perfectly functional -- except for one major design flaw (at least in mine), which was very easy for me to fix. I describe that later in this review. As most other reviewers have noted, it doesn't hold a whole lot -- it's pretty much 12 oz. as described. The inside cup is metal, and the outside shell is plastic, with removable rubber bands to simulate the focus and zoom rings. The thermos space between the outside shell and the inside cup is not a vacuum, only air, so it's not going to keep your drink at temperature for as long as a "real" Thermos will, but it'll hold temperature for quite a bit longer than a plain paper or plastic cup. As I mentioned, the rubber rings can be removed, as can the little sliding lid over the mouthpiece, so you can give the cup a thorough cleaning when you want to. The little sliding lid is not super-leakproof, although it should save you in the case of an accidental quick tumble. Now for the design flaw and the fix: a couple of reviewers have noted that their mugs somehow get water down in the innards, where they can hear it sloshing. Presuming the mug I received is a faithful representative of all of these mugs, it was very easy to see how water could get in. When I removed the lower of the two rubber bands for cleaning, I found a nice little perfect hole about 1/4" in diameter in the plastic shell. It appears this hole is left over from manufacturing. The rubber band helps protect it a little, but it would be very nice if the manufacturers would seal it up before selling it. Not a big issue for me, though, because I found it very easy to do myself. I simply took a neoprene washer, used a hole-punch to make a plug that would fit snugly into the hole, and glued it into place with superglue. I've included a picture with this review to show the finished product. In the absence of a neoprene washer and hole-punch, there are probably dozens of other ways to safely fill the hole, if you're willing to get creative. As a last resort, you could always glue the rubber band down around the hole.If it weren't for that one flaw, I'd give it five stars. Once that was fixed, it became a great little mug. I handwash it, don't dare microwave it, treat it with the same respect I give to my other diningware, and in general have thoroughly enjoyed it.Makes a wonderful gift to almost anyone (including yourself!) who likes photography, or even just novelty gifts. If you're giving it as a gift, I'd just recommend you fill the hole first if possible. Hopefully you'll find it as easy to fix as I did.

Neat cup!
Love this cup, just wish it were a little bigger. My coworkers have been doing double takes, thinking i have a camera lens sitting around! They all want one of these cups. It fits 10 oz comfortably of liquid, and the lid is on nice and snug. Washes up nice also, but not dishwasher safe. I just hand wash and get along fine.

Great Coffee Mug!
Great, realistic, coffee mug that really looks like a camera lens! My husband picked it up and spilled the liquid inside because he wanted to "look at the lens". We had to drill a little hole in the cap so the liquid flowed easier, but an easy fix.

Great gift idea for the photographer in your life
I purchased this as a gift for a family member who is a photographer. The packaging is so similar to the actual "Canon" lens that when she unwrapped it, she asked me how I was able to get the box from her house! It also comes with a fabric pouch which I thought was a nice touch. I know a lot of people complain about the volume of liquid this container holds, but, I think that is something one has to sacrifice for a novelty gift. The cup says "Caniam" instead of "Canon" but at a distance you can't even tell. For the price, you can't beat it.

Not so great
Sorry, but this is a miss. It's a plastic cup inside and out. This one doesn't keep the the coffee hot long enough. It's cute for the gimmicky gift, but I'd rather have stainless steel interior in my 'go cup'. The 2 star rating is only because of the coffee not staying hot.

Good for the money
Mmm... Good for the money. But i couldnt use it for drinking coffee even water! The metal (Aluminium???? Lol) used inside very very low in quality. When u wash, some kind if black thing mixes with the water and my tea tasted different. So i stopped drinking with it! I jsut kept as a show piece on my office desk! Sorry :)
