I bought this text to find selections for an intro-level course in classics that I am teaching. The translator includes selections that my students will be most interested in reading and renders the Greek in lively English prose. I will assign selections from this text to augment my history outine, and I think students will find this an enjoyable (one hopes), or at least quite usable text.

This is essential reading for anyone diving into the philosophy of politics and western civilization.
