The Former POWERFAST 31000 stapler is great for correct and code compliant fastening. free hand.
Works great and I have used the PowerFast 31000 stapler for ten years. Excellent tool if used properly. Keeping the head firmly in contact with the surface assures full staple insertion.

Fits PowerFast CableTacker 31000
Fits my older PowerFast Cable Tacker 31000 , sometimes kinks a bit after coming out, but not often enough to be too bugged by.

A Toolbox "Must-Have"!
I first encountered these staples when they showed up in a staple-gun kit specifically for attaching Christmas lights. It took me a while, but I realized that these are good for all sorts of things. The beauty of them is that they have that "U" at the top, which accommodates the wire, cable, or whatever. Now, when I have to run an extension cord along the baseboard, I can easily tack it in place with the staple gun. (My staple gun is Surebonder Model 5540Hol -- the "Light Tacker.") I'm sort of a nut about not having wires and cables running helter-skelter ... I like them tidy and secured in place. I must have bought a dozen products over the years that promise to tame the mass of wires and cables we all have in our houses now. But by far, the best for this purpose is this staple. The instructions offer caveats about stapling wires with current running through them (you should unplug the wire first), but because the wire/cable/cord fits so perfectly into the "U" section as you're positioning the gun, I've never had an instance where I've pierced a wire. This is a very handy item for the toolbox ... I use it more than I use my conventional heavy-duty stapler.

Worked perfectly
Bought these staples for a cheap cable stapler. They work great for cat 5 and 6 cable and rg-58 coax.

It is what it is. They work well. .
They do struggle going into old hard wood though

Good design,bad securing method.
The design of the staple is good but the fact that they don't have an actual staple gun to properly secure these down is the issue.I did purchase the Surebonder gun to attach these staples when purchasing the staples. Some of the staples that I put on into only drywall didn't seat flush so I am thinking about hammering with a rubber mallet but that's waste of time for something fairly temporary.

that are to big for the model I bought The good thing, it's rare that I'm not satisfied with ...
Sorry these are the only staples that they advertise on Amazon with the stapler Surebonder, that are to big for the model I bought The good thing, it's rare that I'm not satisfied with what I buy at Amazon, the advertising is normally adequate for a product.
