My first review said I found that this gave hardly more sound than the phone by itself- cannot be heard in the car well at all, very disappointed. it looks cute and is easy to set up. E Depot Express were very nice to say they would replace if defective or refund and suggested I try it out on another phone. That is the problem- my LG 39C with volume on high and speaker on high, is not very loud at all.

I've used this for about 6 months now. While it doesn't produce dish rattling bass, I like its warm sound. The charging light quit working after the first time I charged it. Now I charge it for two hours when it runs down, and that seems to work fine.Addendum 7/10/16: I've used it for a year now. It continues to work well.

True story-I bought this to play music from my I- phone on a cruise this past October. It performed great, well worth the price, which was very good. My husband borrowed it recently to use it on a night shift he worked. He threw his pants in the wash and forgot to take it out of his pocket. It went through a complete cycle (high efficiency) which is lower water usage, then in the dryer for one or tumbles when I heard the thump and pulled it out.I figured it was finished and took it out of the pouch it came in, opened it up, and set it out to dry. I charged it to full, then attached it to my phone and couldn't believe when it worked perfectly! No damage what so ever. It's a great compact speaker, perfect for travel, and water resistent too!

Bought for some mellow music for a camping trip in a remote location. Liked the idea that it would connect to my ipod and had a battery that would last up to 12 hours. Connected to my iPod OK but it had a really weak sound. Not impressed. Wouldn't buy again.

This really made Christmas with my son extra special. Originally I ordered it to play Christmas music but it was so much more useful. I had no idea. It has a very nice rich tone and was the right volume for my living room. My son couldn't believe something that small could work so well. I had it connected to my Christmas playlist on my iPhone and was enjoying the music when a call came through. It worked well as a speaker for the phone too--stereo sound--amazing. Later on Christmas night we used it to watch a movie attached to my son's computer. It is so versatile and easy to pack in a pocket to take everywhere. What a great gift this was!

Love this little ball of sound! Bought it for one of my teenagers and the older two asked for one because they were so impressed with the sound. Cool colors (the silver XBoom compliments my MacBook Air nicely), super easy to hook up or connect to each other for even more powerful sound, and so compact I can just toss it in my purse. I ended up buying three altogether and have one sitting in my cart right now for a friend. I must say that when we play the regular XBoom along side the ceramic XBoom version, I feel like the sound is deeper on the ceramic speaker. It thumped so hard during a movie that it rolled off my laptop last week! I would definitely buy this little gem again.

Nice looking speaker for a mp3 player, phone or tablet. Good volume, but don't expect booming bass notes. Modest amplification of sound. You need another cable if you want good separation of two speakers. Recommend buying based on the price.

I've been using my alarm clock as a speaker for my phone when I am in my bedroom, but it has horrible sound. I got this thinking it was cheap, and would probably be incrementally better than my alarm clock's speakers, and I'd be able to get rid of the alarm clock. I was wrong! It is MUCH better! And it's tiny and cute! I like that it comes with its own cords-- but they are kind of short, so I just use the charging cable for my phone. It's nice to have a backup, though. I recommend this, wholeheartedly.
