This stuff is amazing! I found it thru tiktok and was like no wayyyy there is something for exactly the problem I have!! You don't need much but keep same rag, I use muslin rag I took from my toddlers collection and now it's designated for this. Works perfectly and altho when you apply it and gentle circles to buff it into artwork it does not smudge the painting if it's completely dry of course but when you look at the rag there is some transfer there but it has zero effect on the painting no smudges! And now my gouache sketchbook doesn't have pages that stick and ruin each other and I'm not goin thru aerosol sealants that warp and ruin my artwork try to find something to seal and protect it! It's amazing definitely worth it, super easy to use! Just let your artwork completely dry, apply a thin thin layer of this stuff and then allow it to completely dry, takes about an hour ish depending your environment and the tack feeling disappears and the shine changes and it adds depth and a smoothness too your painting making it even more professional looking even in a sketchbook and prevents it from sticking to other pages and reactivation!

Excellent product. This wax product is very versatile. It works on wood as well as paper. I haven’t tried it on other things yet but the east of use was very good. The wax dried quickly within an hour the next day I put another coat on and it made my painting protected without glass. I really like the product. I’m going to try it on other things as well other than watercolor.

Works great for sealing watercolor painted cards, book marks, etc. It can make the paper look ever so slightly cream colored after the application has dried, and been buffed, but not to the point that most would notice. It is easy to apply. It does have slight chemical smell, but that was to be expected from reading the directions and watching videos demonstrating how to apply this to watercolor paintings. I have already repurchased this item due to its performance.

I use this wax to seal my watercolor paintings. It is very effective, and actually makes the colors in the painting brighten, and look more "lively" after applying it. It's the best sealant I have ever tried for my paintings. Spray on sealants are horrible. I would have given 5 stars, except for the fact that the price is really for this stuff.

I use this medium for sealing watercolor paintings. Creates a nice sheen and protects the paintings from moisture. Need to be careful to allow to dry completely and buff before placing paintings into plastic sleeves. The medium can cause a reaction with the plastic and make it wrinkle up.

A friend told me about this. I use it to wax some of my watercolor paintings so they don’t need to be protected by glass. I bet it would work great on graphite or colored pencil to protect the surface and stabilize the material. I don’t think it would be suitable for pastels though, the application process might disturb the creamy strokes. It applies easily with a brush, and doesn’t smear the paint or alter the look of the art at all, but be aware that once it is applied, no changes can be made to the underlying surface. It’s permanent. I was actually hoping it would act more like a varnish, as in giving a bit of depth to the art and a more visible protective surface, but it it completely matte and natural. Maybe I will do some experiments by brushing gel medium over some waxed samples to see what happens. Have fun with this!

First time using this recommended product. It meets all my expectations. Easy to use and effective.

Ho comprato questa cera perché consigliata in un video Youtube per sigillare i progetti ad acquarello tipo i segnalibri. Ne basta davvero pochissima e l'acquarello sembra anche più vivido e luminoso. La patina liscia lo protegge permanentemente dall'umidità. Il costo può sembrare elevato, ma una confezione dura davvero all'infinito.

Nutze es zum "Versiegeln" von Aquarellen, es funktioniert sehr gut. Dorlands Wax läßt sich leicht auftragen und hat nur einen geringen, für mich nicht unangenehmen, Eigengeruch. Daumen hoch.
