Gamblin Solvent Free Gel Medium Oil 150Ml

This is great stuff! I used to use Liquin as my medium, but it has such a strong odor that when I used it indoors my wife complained. Then I found this gel medium. It is the same consistency as Liquin, and provides good blend ability for the paints without any noticeable odor. Having it in a tube makes dispensing it much easier than a bottle!

Gamblin Solvent-Free Gel smooths out the paint, makes it dry faster, and does it all without a trace of smell. It’s easy to work with, mixes in quickly, and keeps my studio air fresh. My paints feel more cooperative, and I can work longer without getting lightheaded. A simple, clean upgrade to my oil painting setup. Highly recommended.

Works well

Just started learning to oil paint and this stuff is great. It's not runny like liquin or linseed oil, it mixes easily into the paint and thins things down enough to make the paint very easy to move around the canvas. No harsh odors. Dry time is decreased a decent amount as well. Very good product.

Gamblin is quality every time

This is the only solvent for oil colors that is TSA safe and legal. The consistency is similar to paint and it looks if you forgive the term like "snot". I like to bring paints with me when I travel so this is a no brainer. But I keep some on my palette for mixing colors as a substitute for medium. I like it particularly for palette knife painting to increase volume of my mixtures while keeping the paint nice and thick. It adds no color and stays put as well as most paints. It is a little glossy when it dries so that's a matter of taste but I like it. I find myself using it more and more over time so that's a good sign. Drying time seems no different than with traditional medium.

I am really happy with this, it works as intended and I like the gel as it makes it easy to portion and mix in. This size tube will go a long way.
