Not so dependable
I purchased five Catalyst brushes that were recommended for an acrylic class that I started in March. I paint mostly on weekends so they do not get daily use. I keep my brushes clean and wash with soap and water after each painting session and store vertically. I was surprised when they began to fray and hook. I liked the way they laid down the paint but am puzzled at how quickly they are breaking down. They are not the quality I was expecting and probably will not purchase them again. I'm currently looking for a suitable alternative and have ordered a Ruby Satin by Silver Brushes to test drive.

Horribly packaged.
These are supposed to be top notched brushes, and were recommended by art teachers I take class with. I have bought three on Amazon and two of them had twisted and splayed bristles (they were all "flats"). The brush head was not protected on any of them. This is not acceptable. Not sure if I should be disappointed in Princeton, Amazon, or both.

Damaged
Brush arrived without a protective sheath, no glue, split and bent bristles rendering it unusable. Refunded.
