I am LOVING this wooden clock and it fits perfectly with our modern/industrial decor. The numbers are HUGE and very easy to read from across the room and all the alternating date "screen" keeps me on track, especially now that summer has started and the days are flowing together.

The clock, whether plugged in or on battery power, simply doesn't work correctly. The display turns itself off randomly, regardless of whether the power saving mode is turned on or off. Alex (the owner I assume) makes a big deal of claiming he (she) is available to answer questions or respond to complaints immediately, but won't respond to emails. The instructions are almost unreadable as they have been written by someone for whom English is not a first language. This is a very cool item in concept, but an enormous disappointment in execution.

UPDATE: I've had this thing for a week and everything was fine. Now all of the sudden I randomly find the display shut down. I have to press the Set button on the back and it turns back on. Haven't determined how long it takes to turn back off again, but it's hours not minutes.This is as tricky review because I love the design of this product and it's exactly what I was looking for, BUT every single one of the 1-Star reviews in regards to the instructions that came with this product are totally correct. I somehow managed to get mine to stop switching between the Time/Temp and Date to just showing the Time/Temp, and I was able to get it to stop automatically shutting down the display, but I have no idea how I ending up getting those settings to stick.PROS: Looks pretty cool, when you hold it you can tell it's plastic but when it's just sitting there it looks like legit. The LED brightness has three settings (I have it set at the lowest setting in the photos). You can either use the USB plug or 4 AAA batteries.CONS: The instructions are poorly written and do not show the actual steps to complete the required tasks. On the back of the clock there are three buttons, SET, UP, and DOWN. There is also a RESET hole that you have to use a needle or paper click to press (although I tried 5x and was never able to get the clock to reset or even feel like it was finding any sort of button or switch on the inside). There is a very loud audible beep when every time you press the buttons. I couldn't figure out if it could be turned off or how to do that per the instructions. I mentioned at the beginning of this review that I didn't know how I get all the settings to work out eventually, what I didn't mention was that it took me 25 minutes of playing with these three buttons to get it there and the whole time I had to deal with this loud obnoxious beeping and there is no volume control. If you use the DC USB plug instead of batteries just now the cord sticked out quite a bit on the back. Since the back is on a slant like the front it can make this a little more prominent depending on where you are displaying the clock.Even though getting this clock set up was a real pain and I was real close to throwing in the towel I'm still very happy with the look of the product. If the seller would take the time to revise the included instructions I think this thing would sell like crazy.

It doesn't show the time. You read that right! The time switches from time to date and then it goes black until you touch it. You can set it to not go black but it still will go back and forth from telling time and telling you what year it is! I need a clock that stays on and keeps telling the time. What is this garbage?! On the other hand it has brightness settings, size is great, looks nice and display is red.

Love it! Works great and I love the look. It’s a great size and very modern looking. Very happy. Seller was responsive and helped me with my question about to change the settings.

I love the look to this clock, however it’s difficult and it goes off on “energy savings”, then hoes in with noise. So if my child is asleep I have to clap or bang something to turn on! Ridiculous! On YouTube I saw a demo and I did what I saw to stay on, but nope- still goes off. So, I have a working clock “SOMETIMES”.. so so stupid! So nice but save your $

PRO’s:: Looks really pretty in design, light is bright white making the clock easy to read from far away.CON’s:: No clear directions for setup. Took 2 days to figure it out. BIGGEST CON: Battery life is crap!!!!! Used 4 AAA batteries and was finally happy that I got all the settings correct. Then bam, the next day the brand new batteries I’d put in were dead. It has a USB cord but I had nowhere to plug it in and even if I did, the device needs to be on in order to keep the charge going. BAD ENGINEERING DESIGN. Should have had an electric cord instead of USB.BACK it goes!Otherwise, it was great.

With the batteries, which seemed to last only about a week, it worked perfectly. It was great (auto-on/off worked so light wasn't lighting up bedroom all the time at night which changed to day/date/temperature anytime, day or night). I loved it!!.When the batteries ran out, I decided to plug it in with the USB/AC Adapter (using Apple iPhone charging plug in piece). After that, using the AC adapter, the thing is ALWAYS on and SO BRIGHT that my husband has to face it to the wall or turn it face down and the display no longer changes from date/day/temperature to time only. It only shows the time now (I bought it because I liked the day/date/temperature feature).So sad.P.S. Trying a new "set" of batteries...
