Eric Johnson - Venus Isle Paperback – September 1, 1997

This book has near-perfect translations from the amazing guitar work of Eric Johnson. I noticed a few errors here and there, a lot of it being wrong octave tones. A few of the notes are off when it comes to the solos and some of the chordings are rough to stretch to (although im sure Eric meant for them to be this hard, if you've ever watched him play). Regardless, this book is amazing and knowing that i can play Venus Isle all the way through brings a special kind of satisfaction :)

Great tabs, very accruate; not for beginners, rather advanced players.I would definitely purchase this book again. Beautiful music by the way.

It's Eric what else can be said. the art of perfection, it's a must have in the Eric Johnson collection.

Pretty well done

I didn't realize how difficult these songs were. I have no idea if the solo transcriptions are accurate (by that I mean authentic to how EJ plays) because I can't play half of what's in this book. But the book is easy to follow and read. A select few can play these songs but everyone can benefit from learning licks in this book. Venus Isle is the best CD in my opinion.

Have to be a really good/experienced guitar player to pull off Eric Johnson. Most songs seem to be tabbed correctly.

I would say this i really for the intermediate guitar player only. Because of the sheer complexity of eric johnson's guitar chord work and soloing. that aside' i would say a good guitar tab book but rather expensive when you consider there's no accompanying backing cd.
