Easy, smooth, articulate.
I am not a performing musician. I play electric, resonator, and acoustic. I flat pick - sweep, tremolo, hybrid. I fingerpick with calluses and slight nails with and without thumbpicks. I use brass fingerpick and traditional thumpicks: dunlop large heavy ( mainly). So I naturally squander my lack of talent at many styles andapoaches. Not without success.I saw Steve Earle used bumblebee picks a while back. I concidered them but thought they'd be just a mess to fumble with and inconsistent. I purchased them a few days ago. To my surprise, the just work well nothing to fumble with, the are consistent. I was able to transition from thumpic to hybrid to flat picking seamlessly. I am used to thumbpicks these are no different to adjust to. I did however play different, it opened up some small movements where I played like it was a different guitar. Syncopation scrapes and mutes felt slightly more natural. I am going to keep using these. Give them a try they may not be for you everyday but may fill a niche or open a play style that was already there. Certainly use as a flat pick is seemeless, I did notice for nearly everything I had no issues. Though it restricted some pick angles for me when tremolo picking EVH style... But it's a THUMBPICK 🎸😂

These are perfect for me
These picks changed my mind about thumb picks. I was using some random brands before but the picks were ALWAYS too long and I would have to cut them down, then sand them where I had cut. I just want a litlle nub (insert joke here) to strike the string. These are perfect for me.. They're also very tight, almost to the point of being uncomfortable but that's what I want. I don't want ANY wiggle. I want it to feel like a fingernail is growing out of the side of my thumb. All kinds of crazy Danny Gatton/Roy Buchanan licks opened up once I started using these (yes, I know neither were known for using thumb picks). As always, ymmv.

Great concept, too small.
The paddle of this pick is too small for me and I either crash into the strings or miss them entirely. I wish the paddle (black part) was larger.

These work very well with the Poly Freedom picks, also reviewed here
I'm pretty much a know-nothing concerning this product, primarily a keyboard player who happens to own a nice Gibson and a nice Martin. My issue as an amateur is that because I know the intervals I can accompany almost any music in a fingerpicking style, which I hope will lead to a better grasp of chords, since I can accompany both melodically and in chordal blocks on the piano. So here I am stuck with fingerpicking, but a) doing so with the bare hands sounds kind of blunt, b) a regular wedge pick seriously limits facility in playing sequences of individual notes, and c) my fingers hurt, as in ow--not just the fingertips, but the whole index finger, because I'm plucking the strings like some bozo. So I shelled out for these Fred Kelly picks (you get three), and also for the [Fred Kelly Picks P7FF-L-3 Poly Freedom Finger Pick Large Guitar Pick], which are clear items that slip over three fingers. This product here I use as a thumb pick, because it seems a little on the big side for the other digits. With this black and yellow model on my thumb and the Poly Freedoms on the other usable digits, play is both more clear and less difficult. The fact is that we overuse the right-hand digits like mad in this modern world of ours, especially the index finger, so fingerpicking without tools like this is a shade idiotic. Much of this same review is reproduced in the Poly Freedom review. I'd definitely give these Fred Kelly picks a try. They're clearly designed by a thoughtful guitar player, with fingerpicking in mind. Again, any real guitar player will recognize my lack of knowledge, but taken together with the Poly Freedoms, these picks give a sweet sound and feel like natural extensions of the digits, which is all I ask for.Update: Btw if you want some pics of these picks, you can try fredkellypicks.com

Worth the Premium Price
These are a little pricey compared to a traditional thumb pick, but think of it as a premium item. It only costs a little more to fly first class. After years with a Dunlop I still couldn't get a good strumming sound. Too hard.. Switching styles by holding a flat pick in my mouth was not only tricky, but almost sent me to the ER a couple of times. (Gulp!) Now I can switch from finger style to flat picking with ease. TOTALLY worth the premium price.

Goofy-looking but fantastic
OK, it's goofy looking. It seems awkward when compared to other thumbpicks. However, that's not the way it feels when you play with it. It is easily and by far the most natural thumbpick I've ever tried, the most comfortable and the most easily adjusted. Because the angle of attack is so important, this thumbpick allows you to swivel the point of the pick a little to make sure the point of contact on the string is exactly what suits you. This is really a revolutionary item. The pick is shaped like a flat pick, and you can actually use it like one while it is on your thumb if you want, or you can use it like a thumbpick. After a million clumsy uncomfortable non-adjustable thumbpicks, this one is a winner. It looks weird in the online image, but wait until you put it on.

Not what I expected.
I bought these hoping I could rotate the pick to adjust it's angle. Unfortunately this is not the case.

A Thumb Pick Like No Other!
This is a great pick from a great seller. Unlike most thumb picks, this pick has the flexibility of a standard pick, but with a thumb loop to hold the pick in place. I have a large thumb and the large-sized loop fits perfectly. Also, the pick is adjustable so that you can position it up or down for your desired attack. Finally, one of the picks was damaged during shipping and the seller replaced it promptly and with no questions asked. A+ pick and A+ seller!
