Nice and bright...
Very bright...something about the sensor though...(very similar review to Wireless Motion Sensor Light - 10 Super-Bright LED which I also bought)a. When I was in the process of testing it several times back to back, by waving my hand in 1 foot in front of it for a few seconds, it did not turn on right away, or sometimes did not unless I waited a second more then tested...But if I leave it alone, as in installing it where I want to, then come into its sensor range in the normal daily usage of it, it always works...So my guess is there must be something "passive" about the sensor...in that it's not constantly probing for motion like a high end motion detector...and then again, it is battery operated, so can't expect instant motion detection all the time...I guess it's to save battery...b. There was a time when it did not turn off...I don't know why...could it have been because of some other LED lights I had on nearby in my dark room? Or I had it facing a nearby wall...was the reflection from the LED flicker (yes they do flicker imperceptibly to the human eye) detected as motion?c. Had it set up inside my room by my door to light up the hall when I walk out...well, I was not walking out, yet it turned on once, on two separate nights...(ghost detector?)So it loses a star and a half for those things...But it gains a half star back for the ability to angle the light! Because I want it to detect my motion, but I don't want it to shine into my face and blind me at night...heh heh...But otherwise, like I said, in the normal daily use of this thing, it has always worked!***UPDATE*** 2012.04.05I seem to be getting some "false positives" on movement. I have two. I put one just outside my door in the hallway, and one just inside my door. The one inside my door went on when there was no movement last night, and kept on going on and off a few times. The hallway one (I can see via the crack at the bottom of my door) did not go on. I've swapped them before because of same issue, I will swap them again and see what's up. Maybe something about my door? It is pointing more closely to the door and/or wall than the one in the hall...***UPDATE*** 2012.04.08I put some almost dying rechargeables in it, and when they started dying, light kept on going on/off...I wonder if that's the built in warning system?...After fresh batteries, no problem...Also, for my second Fulcrum, well, my door is at the corner of my room. On one wall by the door, I have a shelf with my Wi-Fi router. On the other, wall, at a right angle, just my gaming system and receiver. When I place it on the shelf next to my router facing the door, I get intermittent false turnings ons...almost spooky. But when I place it on my other shelf, also facing the door, I never get false turnings ons...so what is it about my router? And normally, after no motion detected for 20 seconds it turns off...but when next to my router, it sometimes stayed on forever, or for 10 seconds, or 14 seconds, or 30 seconds...and it was intermittent...usually only after a normal motion-detection activation, and then it acted weird like this...but like I said, when I moved it to my other shelf, also facing same door, no problemo...And it is true...when light is on, they don't turn on...but when it starts to get darker, even though our hallways still get pretty good ambient light from the ending sunlight, that's enough to trigger it to turn on when there's motion...our solution? Since we don't mount it and just place them on shelves, we just turn them away from any motion until it's time for bed...heh heh...

Will always have these!
I have ordered dozens of these lights. We use them in our own home, our son's apartment and for the elderly parent's residences (in the past). They are inexpensive, they are bright and they work.I have only used regular Duracell batteries and they have lasted. For use in our bedroom & bathroom, I used a red Sharpie to color the clear plastic that protects the leds. This softens the light for I-need-to-get-up sleepy eyes but, still allows excellent illumination (easy back-to-sleep).They need to be in the home of every senior (single or not). Our late parents loved these. When my widowed dad-in-law took an after-midnight fall one night and was unable to get up, these little lights kept him from being in complete darkness until we were able to get to his apartment after he used his alert button. The EMTs asked where we got them!My own Dad had poor vision and these lit-up his floor ahead as he walked. My late stroke-impaired Mom called them her Star Trek lights (because they were automatic, like the doors on Star Trek!).I also make sure to keep one in my suitcase for travel use. Perfect for midnight bathroom needs in strange surroundings or a flashlight. I painted the case in bright orange and place it on the floor (visible and no worries about forgetting it!).We use these inside cabinets; on stairways (keep them nearer the floor to make the steps really bright); in the garage (instant brightness getting out of the car!); attached 2' above our elderly dog's water bowl; at knee-height next to exterior steps and more.Everyone that experiences these little-but-big-brightness beauties love them.

Easily removed from bracket for changing batteries
This is the best motion activated battery operated light I have found. There are three ways to mount the bracket and it just slides out of the bracket for battery replacement. I use rechargeable batteries to save on purchasing regular batteries. I have them on the stairs, in the bathroom (in case the electricity goes out), on the porch posts, and the carport posts.
